I will join open track day twice a year.... the next is my 4th trip, will be fall on 24-Oct-10.. :driver:

i'm using stock 93sohc block+mivec 81mm piston + ACL Duraglide bearing....

VAFC + SITC that enough for 92 or 93 mivec eady.... our ex-mivec club member used these two toys to tuned out a 16xWhp and 18Kg-m 1.8mivec... can search the VID at youtube ..:biggrin:

It might be ur ignition timing problem... since u have rallyart chip + SITC tuning will causing too advance ignition timing induce the knocking problem?? But need to check with the tuner for the ignition setting ....
you know our fuel grade not good as japan RON100 fuel ..... :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

And also have other issue can cause the knocking problem ... too many carbon build inside the chamber; cooling system not enough; plug heat range; A/Fuel ratio lean, O2 sensor faulty; and low grade fuel .... :rofl: "Heat" was the main reason to cause knocking..... try to search at google, u will get alot of info about it... :burnout:

Just don't get knocking problem at WOT that safe la.....

Don't forget to upgrade your injector as well .....

thanks bro for infomation , now i'm already using 275cc injector and today i go second hand shop i saw the mivec racing flywheel , around 4.5kg - 5kg. dunno what brand , they come with japan exedy racing clutch 3 puck , exedy clutch cover and exedy clutch plate , but the 3 puck clutch carbon finish already , then the clutch plate still in very good condition.RM600 izzit the price reasonable? because i'm just change exedy 4 puck full set already , before my exedy 3 puck clutch still have many carbon but the clutch plate can't use.so i'm thinking now want to buy this set item or not :hmmmm: if i buy already i have 1 set 3 puck exedy racing clutch for spare :biggrin: and if change this lightweight racing flywheel can get how many HP ? :hmmmm:

P.ease help me. I driving lancer 1.8turbo gdi, which is a 4g93t engine but got stupid gdi. I want change out the head so remove gdi and get mivec + turbo, I think many of you have done this mix before 4g93block + 4g92head. Should I do this or just look for gsr head .
. So that there is lesser part to change? Btw my car is using invecsII. I don't know if ecu got affect auto gear box or not? Can someone please help me.... Thank you very much. Got any good workshop in jb/kl who do good conversion to recommend?

why wanna look for gsr head? your head is already gsr.. gdi is just the fuel injection.. mivec is operating the same way.. changing the head should be fine, but you need the 4g92 ecu for the mivec operation, dont worry about your F4A42 gearbox, that only depends on the TCU. if still not sure, try looking for mivec ck ecu for confidence haha :driver:

actually the racing flywheel i'm buy already , the real weight is 3.9kg. when i upgrade 4g93 mivec i'll take to balancing together :biggrin: but how to say will decrease the HP? why no +HP ? or the power + to torque? i just know using lightweight racing flywheel when heading to slope (naik bukit) no good respond,right?:hmmmm:

most of the mivec kakis that i know said that got a lot of improvements. last time i also used this setup in my 93 non mivec. very good improvement in midrange and high end power. now just convert to mivec and currently using stock intake and throttle body. maybe next i'll use back the setup.

btw, can a 'final drive' gives impact on our horsepower when dyno? im suck when it comes to gb ratio/transmission parts. hope someone can gives some info on this. thank you.

anyone interested in afc neo?? i just taken out 1 from my mivec 1.8, 100 % good running condition, but no stand and manual... only with ori box and long wire and ori socket....

asking rm850 include pos.. nego.... can take package, afc + my mivec injector = rm 1010 .... nego...... injector is from ck model and just washed.. dunno same with 1st gen or not.... evo injector also gt ... tq
 
Helo everybody...Im new here,just bought wira mivec 4g92 year 2001.I get this car cost me rm14k only to replace my stolen satria gti turbo:bawling:...want to play mivec pulak....hehe...Want to ask,anybody here using hotbits 4-1 extractor for mivec?I plan to get one la if anybody here give a good feedback ...
 
hi bro. i'm using r3 4-1 header in my 93 mivec. all i can say i'm very happy revving with it. but 4-1 in 92 mivec ...i'm not really sure since i heard a lot of negatives feedback from 92 mivec users who use 4-1 header. they said that the low end sucks and feel the car lost power. so i would recommend you to use cusco 4-2-1 header for your 1.6.

just my 2cents.
 
so far i'm quite happy with my R3 4-1 header. but most of my friends prefer 4-2-1 cusco.
