[/b][/quote] hah??? you change gearbox also issit? if never change then the speed should still be the same cause your gear ratios can't change themselves...... thats odd :huh: i'm planning to tune my 1.6 kowkow.. as long as can follow 1.8 mivecs i'm decently happy..... planning for PnP, Balancing, increase compression(metal gasket), engine lightening..... any maybe some management..... will be dynoing the before and after...... might take a few months.... ;)

the gear ratio didnt change, but the stroke of the engine changed isnt it. This will contribute to a higher speed at the same RPM.

May I ask wats the TOP Speed for 1.8 Hybrids using 1.6 Mivec gearbox, at which rpm?

r u saying more torque?.. 1.8 got more speed than 1.6 at both the same RPM level ?

I did 235km/h using my MIVEC NON LSD gearbox....but it max out at 7.5k rpm, i thought it should last all the way to 8.5k rpm ? why only at 7.5K rpm ? any ideas? or is this a norm ? any way to improve on it to get higher top speed? adding Final Drive? where to get n how much ?

I think its the intake manifold limitation.

Will change to the 4G93T inlet & test it out.

erm........intake manifold ?? i think should be the 1.6 MIVEC half cut punya.....everything in the engine is 1.6 xcept for the block 1.8 lor, change to 4G93t ?? will this help ? but y ?

How abt others? anybody got test top speed ? at which rpm ?

i would assume longer stroke would give a difference in speed.

for example, we have 2 bicycles with the same gear ratios
1 bicycle with a long crank arm
and one with a short crank arm

the shorter crank arm need to rotate more to match the forward velocity of the bicycle with the longer crank arm.

To get the same rotation speed, you need to give more force to the longer crank.

I don't think the longer stroke will make the difference speed, because the engine speed is proportional to the vehicle speed with the same gear ratio.

hey DDGreyStar dude, long time no story :) 235 km/h at 7.5k? whoaawee.. mine woud be vibrating like hell already. I dont really know wat's the top speed of mine since the meter show oni 180 km/h max. But i can reach at least 160 km/h at 3rd gear (almost 8k) and at 4th around 170 km/h and i'll suffer from some kind of breathing problem until i shift to 5th where the speedometer ends.

My mech still says it's "MINYAK tak cukup". he suggests at least an AFC or get a management for best result. btw, can u guys tell me wat's your ECU code? mine is 29xx or something like that. some say it's the new Mivec version one (pullley on the left hand side like Waja).
