for mivec 1.6cc or 1.8cc also use :
internal 2.3" (hole only)
external 2.5" (total inci for piping)
power must diffrent. because b4 i'm using external 2" feel heavy, after i change external 2.5" the car feel light already. if u driving always high RPM better use direct muffler (5500RPM - 8000RPM) if u only drive like normally seldom ON mivec and high RPM (0RPM - 5000RPM) u better use like satria GTI (S) style muffler.

hi, can i ask if changed to mivec 1.8 blok use what extractor and middle box(silencer)? i am headache on it, currently using ori extractor with extended for 1.8 blok, any 1 have good advice or comments on it?

Bro, actually im using 2.1" diameter ori route piping + perdana type s flow. When you say lighter does it means i will have better torque and thus save fuel? mine is 1.8 mivec also... need your advise... roughly how much? :hmmmm:

One more thing, most of the time my car is ok, but sometime, regardless hot/cold/day/night, the slow will suddenly go very low almost mati engine, it isn't unstable up and down, just maintain at very very low rpm and whole car jerking, dim light...
I went proton shop they use electronic diagnose tool to check and everything's ok, no error code... mech said maybe TB dirty, or maybe sensor kong, can any sifu advise what should i do to cure this symptom??

Hi guys, how many of you tried the Ralliart MIVEC chip for 1st gen MIVEC engine?
Any pro and con on that chip?

If I bought one and wanna replace the chip, what I have to do?

can anyone tell me any diferentiate between lancer gt & evoX for
1. chassis
2. drivetrain
if no diferent i going to buy lancer then convert to evo engineer later.

you cant convert a lancer gt to be an evo cause is totally different
chasis the evo is lower than gt i mean the chasis roofline not the vehicle ride height
width is evo wider and shorter
suspension/control arm material are different aligntment also different
erm...to much to be mention here
basic different you may notice is by the fuel filler cap gt is round evo is square
better still get an original evo

That is possible. But u need alot of stuff. so much to the point its not worth it. For starters

Front bumper
Inner bars
Front fenders
Side steps
Rear doors
Rear fenders
Rear bumper
Fender liners
Fuel cap
Fuel tunnel


And I havent even gone on to the undercarriage and misc stuff.

Better off buying an Evo from the start.

need help on my setup.currently i juz install 4 throttle but my sparkplug always got kong coz of petrol/oil wetting it..EnginE~ECU haltech.1.8 block.
