how normal b16a vtec open

im drive b16a.please help me coz my engine vtec open bila rpm 5800.standard engine no modified.
 
5800rpm ok maaaa... more power towards the end. mine 4800rpm kick in oredi..

but sumtimes.. my vtec can open anywhere between 4800 to 6000 rpm.. depend on how i press d pedal. if straight hit it to the floor - 4800 engaged. if not...5200 la 5500 la.. even sumtimes 6000rpm only the vtec kicks in..

err..sure or not.. vtec engaged at certain point u desired only .. err.. vtec soleniod engko tersumbat ker?? hehehe

maybe becoz the normal rpm meter is not that accurate, and we gauge the vtec engagement based on listening to the engine sound + acceleration feel + a few seconds of glancing to the rpm meter, hence it seems that the shift point vary every time....

but what was the original problem?....vtec engaged at 5800rpm?...ok ler...better than whack until 8000rpm but vtec never engage, then there's problem ler....

Did you use any management unit?
If yes, i do understand why your vtec point vary... coz u can set your vtec point according to percentage of your throttle position (50% at where... 100% or wot at what point...)

If no... maybe u used performance ecu....mugen/custom :)

meter calibration ... it doesnt followed the normal meter does .. like for my case... my vtec point was at 5800rpm (i borrowed my frens rsm) but when accelerating .. it hit nicely at 6000rpm which was abit confusing too .. but anyway.. it doesnt make any diffrence coz my car still slow bai kekeke.. so.. maybe u wanna used ori JDM meters instead like me SO4 standard cluster .. maybe that can solved ur prob

but come again on this.. why my idling shows accurately?? very funny lah
 
the new version of emange/gold version got (1.27/1.45)... even u can on and off your vtec point if u wan...

but the beuty of the gold version is... additional Accelaration Map

heheh no laa udang... i used palm oil instead petrol since got heavy load of stock at tabung haji plants in riau kekekekke

seriously people, u guys should ride my car. i can show u. even the sound produced oso different...if pedal tak tekan kuat, the sound is very mellow. if u hit the pedal hard, kalah bunyi type-r woooo kakekekekekek

i have a rev meter with me. i definitely can feel and hear when the vtec kicks in.

even all mechs i met oso pening wit this situation..

but im happy laa..feels like EP3's K20A i-vtec.. hahahahahahahah

how about auto sohc vtec? izit true that i heard vtec engage somewhere early than 6000rpm?

Nope... its the blue box, but upgraded to Gold version.

The gold version is for Japan and Taiwan market only... its a SPECIALL edition
but a group of emange, manage to hack it and even run it the gold version perfectly

The box oso gold color...

ultimate... different story
