anybody looking r32 gtr?

If you want to order a R32 GTR from abroad, your budget will need to be around 80k-100+k depending on the spec for the car landed and registered in Malaysia. :listen:

That's my earlier argument. 80k-100k+ cash for a car that could not be transferred legally for two years and may have legal complications if the AP holder dies is a bit too much for me to digest la.

Even if I have that amount lying around gathering dust, I'd rather buy a car that would be mine legally from the moment I pay up. But that is just poor me la..

Sorry thread starter, just stating the obvious..

fellas ...

well, as far as im concerned and at the end of the day, it is a matter of *willing seller willing buyer*. and in this kind of situation, *you win some you lose some*. there is always smthing that u have to sacrifice in order for u to own smthing, and in this case, the hassle of having the uncertainty in the event smthing bad happened to the legal owner.

as i said earlier, there is always smthing we can do *within the legal limit* to satisfy the seller's and the buyer's needs, requirements and requests.

i've done such arrangements and such other arrangements to friends with little *ron97@smart tag* fees ... hehehe

feel free to contact me for any legal and/or *not so legal* matters and i will try my very best to assist

gobiz ...

met and chat with ur alter-ego weeks back at ums ... kakakaka

cheers fellas

Hopefully the seller doesn't end-up coming back to Malaysia and mixing with the wrong company. One of my lawyers who has this sick twisted love of criminal litigation had a client who was thought to be a drug dealer and government seized every single asset including ASB from when he was a kid. And then the client had to prove which of his assets were obtained legally and which were from the proceeds of the alleged crime. For the ASB - no brainer, they released it back because the account clearly shows that it was a joint account with father and son opened when the client was still a kid. The rest can potentially be forever seized as property of the Crown. That client isn't me of course and I don't have specifics as he explained without mentioning details. Almost made the cost of lunch worth it haha but then again, I did call 30 mins before and tell them to come across town just to watch me eat Subway and answer mundane questions. Least I could do was pay for his footlong.

Anyways, despite whatever paperwork does not change the fact that non-Muslims cannot inherit from a Muslim even if he wrote it down 1000x in his exercise book (like punishment during school days) and signed it with his blood LOL. Added to the fact that most Malaysians do not have wills, die intestate, wait a year for probate then fight over assets anyway.

Both are legitimate concerns. You can do your best to protect yourself but remember to factor in the added cost of JaHaX - rent in Bangsar is not cheap. But the cost of drawing up simple documents are nothing compared to the costs of litigation.

So lurus ah pimpin ni, takleh bengkok sikit hehehehehe :rofl::rofl:

Simple solution like Jahax alluded to is to set up a specific will to a close and willing relative, ie. in case of death relative gets the car to transfer in buyer's name when 2 years is up.

Way I look at it is - it's just a 20 year old grandpa car... no need to pening2....it's not like its 15 acres of prime development land or a 10-storey wisma temujin

Gobiz,

Boleh dapat le kalau pandai cari..Japan is more expensive than UK now..I was in UK last time (May) & banyak kereta dorang let go murah2 or they break the car. Open market around GBP 6-7k..after nego you boleh dapat harga kaw2..the price i stated earlier yang I dapat mase bulan Jun 2010 dengan tax sekali. Check with custom...But apa2 pun, japenese car is more expensive than Conti kat UK..Better bawak masuk COnti and jual sini kaw2 hehe
