just wana know.. is there any update may result something like this? cos i nvr heard of anything like this.. seems to me she just got hacked or someone just kacau her laptop.. played wit her la.. but this is serious man.. there's ntg u can do if ur log in account is protected by password that u dun even know of..

so anyone know any solution to this? just wana know if it really happens again.. ;)

Aiya, use ERD 2003 or 2004 to crack the password.

Or you can also use Passware 6.3 to create a bootable floppy or CD ISO image and use it to boot up the disabled system to reset the Administrator password.

Same method used to recover data dead systems.

Always use corporate editions of Windows XP.

nope... its original version of xp home edition.. the laptop is from compaq n it has the product key underneath the laptop... so? anyone know wat's that?

it's about time to get yourself a copy of *ahem* from lowyat, ahahhaha...

hmmm... probably microsoft would have the answer to this at the website?

there are alot of hidden users in windows xp if u care to mock around in your registry around H_KEY_local_machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\Userlist

anyway for the Ultimate password recovery guide click http://www.g4techtv.com/screensavers/features/45372/Ultimate_Password_Recovery_Guide.html

What error did it came out? Was it something about password error, or parameter errors? If its password error, you can use a password recovery boot disk to boot it up and reset. If its parameter errors, you got to reinstall winblows.

so far i still using SP1  but always do security update

no the window just set a log in password which she din even know wat it is.. where to get the password recovery boot disk? can it work? but if using a disk like this can reset the password isn't tat i can use it to open any pc i wan then?

ERD 2003 or 2004 can be found via google. Yes it does work very well...

What I'm trying to say is, after she enters the password in the box, and press enter, what is the error. Either a parameter error or a password error.

We can expect either 1 of them.

Yes, the security boot disc can open any Windows PC as long as I have physical access to it.
