Why boost return from air flow???

Any turbo sifu can help me out bout this problem???

I found this problem after i redo my piping. I already have a sqv... the boost suppose
to throw out from the sqv but now it throw both like what i mean the sound of sqv and
return sound from air flow.... The sound of returning from air flow is happen only when
it dont have a BOV....

Don't mean to sound stupid.. but did you adjust the screw? Loosen it...

yeah...try to loosen the srew a bit...it shud sound... unless if ur using an engine frm the daihatsu L's family, then dont expect it to open.. hehe

I try to loose the screw already b4 i post here to ask... the problem is after i loose the screw the sqv got triple sound... like suppose to sound like "CIULL" right? after loosing up the screw sounds like "CIULL CIULL CIULL" + Return air from turbo...

My BOV is not leaking and piping is all fitted... but the I/C damn hot... is it I/C problem???

nice what..got echo sound. mine also using ssqv got echo sound when low boost n 'keching'at high boost..isit normal?:confused_smile:

Low boost of course sound echo... high boost thats normal like mine use to be...

but now mine high boost at 0.8 bar the sqv sound like echo koyak!!! looks like the sqv valve out i think??

If the vacuum hose doesnt connect properly the sqv wont have sound like echo... turbo return echo got lah...

But this is sound sqv + turbo return echo??? damn sounds funny but the sound not that nice...

sorry to say..its sad but true....i got heaps of frens that used SSQV and encountered the quite similiar Prob..

SSQV is not an highly reliable BOV...it starts to leak off after about a year usage....the pivot shaft that holds the valve face...could bend..causing the valve not completely consealed.
after it starts to buat hal...even u tightens the adjuster screw...it tend to stay the same softness..& leaks out preciuos boost...or it will start to get harder & making it less smooth while opening & closing like when its new..

if ur not craze about the whistling of the SSQV...u better off get something far more better..like the Greddy type S / R BOV..

I'm just using bout a year +++, and i'm running only 8 psi and drag at 10 psi also will cause this problem??? I wonder i might got a cheap sqv... and low quality at all....

and at high boost u hear only one sound becos its enough boost to kick it out
its normal , im using a greddy type-r , at 0.7bar i only hear kur kur kur , at 1bar only "hachuhh"

I loose the spring very soft already... and is enough pressure to make sound like "Chiuu" (sqv) but that was b4...

After i redo my piping and welded my I/C then now the sqv make more loud in a while than now doesnt sound sqv but just sound like a standard BOV like "chisss"... and turbo return....

Do you think is my sqv is out or something cause it??

not sure wil sound o not....even if sound..wont be too loud coz low boost...
