hello again frens...got a problem here hope any1 can help advice or troubleshoot dis problem..went to a few mechanics already stil x rectified..:adore:

there is a vibration whenever a left turn is made (x prob when turning right)..or when moving from standstill eg traffic lite....anyone of d workshop i went to said its d drive shaft problem..at 1st i thought d same..all d cv joints were replaced..now here is d issue....

it still vibrates..to add to dis problem (i x seem to figure out y..) it DOES NOT vibrate when making d left turn while d clutch is pressed or on free gear..

anybody?sifus? pls help

any1 can tell me wat factors determine usage of drive shafts (hope i got d question rite)..i mean say u drive a proton 1.5 rite...wiz a evo3 or vr4 engine..1.8gsr lock 2-wheel gearbox..WAT DRIVE SHAFTS (WHICH MODEL) DO U USE? STIL USE D ORI 1.5 SHAFTS? OR VR4/E3 (IF THEY R D SAME) SHAFTS?

in other words drive shaft is determined by d engine or gearbox used or????

errr...determined by the gearbox and knuckle that u use...

if different set means have to kacuk driveshaft follow GB model and CV joint at knuckle follow knuckle model....

oh tq so so much bro gtr...will try check wiz d mechanic...if i have 2 use back d gsr gb, are there any proton ds dat is d same?i mean if im using gsr which is 1.8 gb,is it possible 2 use a proton 1.6 or 1.8 gb say from a wira or satria etc etc?

errr...determined by the gearbox and knuckle that u use...

if different set means have to kacuk driveshaft follow GB model and CV joint at knuckle follow knuckle model....

not sure about what would fit....

wait2...are u using LSD type gearbox??if yes only driveshaft for that LSD gb can be fitted.....



but not sure what caused the vibration....
 
Fazidk : I experienced a similar problem in my Toyota Unser. In the end all I did was change the oil in the erm... axle oil? Not sure what you call it. Rear axle has this ball bulge, just changed the oil there and problem solved.
 
eh x bro..sori left dat detail out...mine is lock 2-wheel gsr gb NO lsd...


not sure about what would fit....

4g93 turbo geabox? you were using the 4wd which lock the rear diff output shaft??

which concern is the CV joint you had change is the gearbox side or the wheel side?

was the ball bearing inside the CV joint @ the gearbox side (5~7 of them) inspected?
 
ermm bro dennis..i think its d left side (both wheel n gb cv) since d noise/vibrations only comes when i turn LEFT..n of coz s mentioned..while moving from standstill

Had a friend used a 1.3 GB on a Satria VR4 several years back. Just the ratio kinda short tho...

if faulty/miss allignement CV joint means replacing d CV joints bro?

taken into account:
- d kind of gb im using (1.8 gsr locked 2-wheel)
- pcd 114.3 from vr4 (4 lugs)

if i were to chnge d cv joint (gearbox side), from wat proton model is compatible?

bro, could u elaborate more on your symthomes.
1. Driveshaft - car will vibrate from a standstill till moving
2. engine mounting - car will vibrate during standstill
3. when making u turn your steering does not tendang balik to its original position - lower arm or tierod end.
4.got knock knock sound when going over bumps - lower arm.
5.your DS depends on the gbox yr using. but only 1 side.....i think so :)

u need to remove it & inspect......your current DS actually could be reconditiones rather that u pening go find at halfcut.....my is recond too..so far last me more than 2 yrs.......bout rm100 per shaft...that was 2 yrs ago, now not sure...
