but i'm curious bout one thing
how to see the different bout big V n small v?
it looks the same...but how u gonna know bout it?
can any give me more info pls...

my opinion is BIG-VTEC = DOHC VTEC , SMALL-VTEC = SOHC VTEC..
hav u ever seen any engine wif small capital "vtec" ? for me.. none :P

eh.. last time i read from a post was that both small VTEC and big VTEC is that both engines are also DOHC.. but if the DOHC has larger wordings than the VTEC, it means that engine is having a small VTEC.. and vice-versa.. :huh: :unsure:

view from the naked eyes ..
the wordings VTEC .. smaller than DOHC .. small vtec
the wordings VTEC .. bigger than DOHC .. big vtec
both are powered by twin cam vtec engine

sohc vtec is not small vtec .. it falls under SINGLE CAM VTEC .. nor big, neither small ..

The radiator thingie, I thought small v also have small radiator?! I've seen EF9 using small radiator also.... small radiator = manual? big radiator = auto? no?

there is yellow , red n black...whats the different?
n whats the b16a , b16c n so on?what is for?can anyone tell me more bout it pls...

yellow = spoon style
red = type R
black = SiR

type R head has the dohc vtec word the same as big vtec, only that the colour is red. if the dohc word is bigger than vtec word, it's a small vtec head sprayed to red colour :lol:

big vtec and small vtec head are both in black colour, but small vtec is greyish a bit (only a bit, not too grey)

b16a has big vtec (170ps) and small vtec (160ps)
b16b = civic type-r engine
b16c = does not exist
