URGENT!!

hi all, recently, ive realised that my friend's laptop, using winXP is having some problem. whenever she start the comp...it takes like forever for the CPU to finsih running....n i found out that theres this program name "tcpcab.exe" which is running like forever n is slowing down her computer A LOT!!!! n i mean A LOT!!!! i tried ctrl-alt-del n close the program n it closes but it comes up agian in the next second! so, tt means i cant close the program. ive tried locating the program n found it somewhere in "c:/windows/prefetch" directory. i tried deleting the program but it still comes up again!so..tt means i still cant get the source of this program!! i am now running the anitivirus prog to search for viruses......but since the "tcpcab.exe" is running with the antivirus program, i think it will take a long time since 2 programs r running at the sametime.

anyone out here can help my friend's comp??desperate help here....assignment due soon!!! n dun wanna format comp unless its the last resort!!! :( :(

Hie,

Maybe is virus,
Maybe is spyware or adware or dataminer,

Use adware removal from www.download.com and try to remove it. The program is free. It is called something like Ad-aware.

If still cannot then you have to disable it at the startup manager. :)

START ---> RUN ---> type in " msconfig " ---> search for that program at the startup manage and disable the program. :)

If you cannot find it at STARTUP then you have to find it at SERVICES. :)

hehe....bro if my 486 punya 16mb RAM didn't burn out i can show u side by side booting up between 486DX2 16mb ram vs Athlon 1.2ghz 512mb ddr ram speed.

486 running slackware can load everything faster than Athlon running XP SP2 <_<
