how to install tweeter?

car no amp no woofer watsover...juz normal ICE system only...can put tweeter a?

how to fix? izzit tap to speaker wire? one (+) n one (-)???

yup, juz tap e front spk wire, rmb seperate it, front right 1 tweeter front left 1 tweeter, v easy oni

Yes, after full volume tweeter pecah & go to the shop buy a new one..haa haa ...remember tweeter only can play high frequency loor...if U give full range Ur tweeter can blow...just simple buy alot of tweeter for Ur stock...maybe after 1 hour kong oledi...& replace with new lor...

bought tweeter at jln pasar and installed DIY.
very easy one..
i think not that easy to blow off, mine still ok maa..

Our fren oredi say "no amp no woofer normal ICE system oni", wat makes u think so easy 2 blow off e tweeter?? :rolleyes: some more if play under full volumn, not even yur tweeter die, yur EARS oso DIE :tongue:
but if so afraid tweeter easily blown, can look 4 those parelleled wif capacitor 1

get a pasive crossover..jalan pasar sell for like rm30 a pair..

then tap your tweet r into your passive xover then the tweets won;t pecah

Yes, that what I mean. Just want to share my experience in ICE in the past....First time around middle 1998..do no anything.. just go to accessories shop...& shop owner recomen Sony HU cost me RM1250 & 1 set comp MBQuart cost me RM980....After Install without amp or others stuff....waaa sound is very damn good....One day at petrol stations after a few week install.. suddenly my son open the volume 2/3 & my tweeter blow...so I go back to the shop ask what happen...With smile he said my tweeter oledi gone or passaway....Why.????? Cause the passive crossover he did not install.......Very dump...he did not inform me..ask him how to solve it ...very simple buy another set...You no what I said....U can go to the hell ...after that I promise to my self never go to accessories shop anymore...From that a learn alot about ICE from the sifu in IASCA forum...specially Uncle soong, Zenn, Zakuan & blaa blaaa

We easily create a passive crossover. The total cost is less than rm10 I guess, depend which eletronics shop you go. You just need to buy a pair of capacitor and a pair of condenser. The capacitor is used to reduce the bass input to tweeter and condenser is used to reduce input power to tweeter. Just hook them in on the tweeter + or gold color wire if i not mistaken, as long as you don't connect them on -. On these 2 component you have to try and error.. Hope these info can help.

tweeter bought at jln pasar n installed tanam at door panel..
good if u have small kid that like to touch everything... ;)

true tap it. don't need passive. just get a small cap which will cost bout rm5 that will be fine enuf.

you don't have amp no problems one. the cap will only prevent overflow current to your tweets so it won't produce that burn smell

I bought my macrom components but the fella din install crossovers on my systems...
f$%k them!!

so when i dismantle when sold my car found 1 side got crossover the other side dun have. C!B@! I remembered I asked them u "SURE GOT INSTALL CROSSOVERS??" they say got...got....

So better check these installers properly man......anyway do u guys know where to get macrom crossovers or i can just get pasar road crossovers for RM30 a pair?? or i just bypass the crossovers? What do u guys think?

Try 25V100uf minimum, I just install to my Rockford Fosgate tweeter and when turn on the bass more also it will not create the cracking sound. Somemore the cap cost only40cents per piece, better go and buy a passive crosseover for.....

this is a mid cap..if for tweeter , u need something below 60uf....as i know
and had seen a lot use 4.7uf only...

i think for tweeter a cap with value between 10-20 microfarad is suitable to filter between 4khz and 2khz roughly.....

just ask to confirm:
1 got 3way active crossover, then i connect it to a a for tweeter, i wtill need a passive crossover?

not necessary. listen to high notes and notice how your tweets perform
