Going to be changing tires this week. Need some advice on which tyres to go for. My budget is roughly around RM350 p/tyre, size 205/45/16. I am thinking of getting the Advan AD07, anyone has comments on this tyre?? What about bridgestones...? Anyone?? :D

p.s: I wanna use these tyres for track days as well.

track day? definitely neova. however, heard pretty good comment abt gsd3 (german made) as well but don't know abt the thai made one & how good is it when compare with neova.

cheers!

Yeah.. 'm using AD07 now.. It's a bloody gud try.. If you like track day then this is the tire.. Tyre ware is better compare RE-711..
But on wet road the grip is a bit bad.. Especially when driving over water puddle .. The aqua planning isn't as good as ES 100..

err...i think 711's tyre wear is much better. u r right thou abt its grip condition.

cheers!

Maybe coz the last one I had is made in Thailand.. After 8laps the tyres look like shit man.. I compare it with another fren of mine using Ad07 his tyre wear isn't as much as mine..

then again I was driving much harder and drifted quite a number of time.. guess tyre wear will be greater..

Kikaider,

Have u tried asking around for BridgeStone's Potenza GIII ??? Heard it's not bad...Slightly cheaper than Advan and Toyo...

But for me if u ask me to choose between advan or Toyo...i'd choose Toyo. During rainny season it still bites the floor firmly during cornering coz it's prooven :P
Advan and Toyo works nearly the same

No offense but Advan is much more branded and a bit pricey! :D Cheers Bro!

kikaider,

sorry, didn't read your 1st posting. 205/45/16 shd around 350.

cheers!

Yokohamas are made for dry/wet weather and therefore are softer, equating to more tire wear.

Really depends how you like to drive. If you wanna drive normal dry/wet weather, then you will suffer more tire wear. If you wanna have tougher tires, then wet weather you suffer.

Or you can buy ES100s for normal use and buy some 2nd hand tires for track use (ensure they are less than 75% used and you should be good to go).

Or, if you wanna save some cash then go for Yokohama ES100 instead of the Neouva cause they are slightly cheaper. Can buy 4 ES100 and you can add RM150 and get another ES100 as compared to 4 Neouvas.

Choice is yours dude.

what is the toyo model that u mean dude ??? :) i m using alzenis ... not bad .. didnt try ad07 n g3 b4.... will try next time.. :)

Are Toyo tires available in M'sia? If yes where bro?

As for the Neova with the above mention price where can I find em?

AD is better than G3 (Thai). Goodyear GSD3 (Germany) one is the best of all - 400+ each leh. Using Pirelli Dragon (Italy) now, superb! Tried with dry and wet road. 205/45R16 is about 300 each.

zero4,

how's the performance of G3 when compare to ES100 or re711?

cheers!

G3 is more or less the same as 711, but this time can last longer, hahahahahah

performance wise, i would say G3 is a bit better than AVS in certain angle cornering, both is good enough to predict the next movementtt
