Sunny Engine Recommendations

need help here guys..
the car- sunny b11
the engine - stock
the problem - needs more power

but minus the high maintenence..
im lookin for an engine to give enuff ummph yet not too hard to take care of
i understand tat any engine not taken care of oso no use..but dun want to visit the workshop lik visiting the kedai runcit..

wat choices do i have?
i've read quite a lot of posts in zth..and sum in autoworld..
there's e15, e15et, e16..is there any e16et?
as for ca18 and sr20.. too much trouble to deal with..
as there's no need for such performance..
the car wud be an everyday car.
so NA wud possibly the best idea..altho im not ruling out force induction..
as long as the maintanence isnt too high it will do..
..and the availability of the parts and the engine itself.
i read sumwhere juz now..tat the e15et is really rare..
true?
how much shud i prepare myself with..the engine and the cost of transplant itself?

Suggestion is to sell of ur car and get another one, coz there is not much choice to choose from.

Well,
if u plan to stick to a b11,
Here are the options of engines to choose from :-
E13 - stock nissan 1.3 engine
E15 - 1.5, power wise okay, certainly more torque then 1.3
E16 - this is the best..but parts is not rare and also not common.
GA16 - twin-cam 1.6 comes in carby and efi. fits in well. origin from ad
resort and also b13
CA18 - good... but then later on, you`ll need to settle your suspension
setup and brakes, parts wise dont know.
SR20 - no need to say.. comes w and w/o turbo. its a lot fun and also
a lot of hassle(so far i`ve seen in a b11 that is)

Now,
here is the fun part,
you can either fit in a silvertop or a b16a
or maybe franko 2liter VTEC. its a killer.
Silvertop heard someone did it in east malaysia,
as for the Vtec, its proven

The engine bay is quite roomy for anything below 1.6

After u plonk in the engine.. your suspension and brake setup is going to kill u as well..

The only aftermarket suspension localy is Titan unless u wanna get it from overseas good luck.

As for PU bushes, yes these is for b11 even for C22 vannete

Brakes, rear disc brake is quite rare if you wanna get them cheap, show them the money, and the rear disc brake will just magically appear
For the front disc brake,
you can put in b13,gtir, nissan 4 pot, this have to ask cmng how does he do it, show him posted once.
Do a search. i`m sure u`ll find. :D

Braided hoses, can be custom made.

Clucth, can either get your stock clucth to refurbish into having better material or just stick with originals.
They handle quite a beating as well.. for street use though.

Gearbox - your final gear ratio can be change. if i`m not mistaken final gear ratio is interchangeable from the a15. not sure about this. but ppl in the states have done it. I havent done it before..

Rims - get offset around 20+-

Do surf foreign forums like nissanforums.com. sr20forum.com , another pulsar forum in oz but forgotten the add already.

You`ll likely to find more info over there than rather here. Coz the B11 community in zth is countable...

And if you happen to be chan sow lin, i bet ya u`ll spot a lot of modded nissan sunny as welll..most of them E15ET.. yummie..

even E16 pushing out 150.. na.. but then again its for track purposes only.

as far i know mod one mounting only.. dont need to cut..
coz the mounting just differs by a bit only.

and get ready to custom made a driveshaft. that should be it.

sunnyboy did it.. so its proven as well.. Its a simple job ler.

just got my sunny into accident
front part gone already even engine mounting pecah

sunny rulez ... I still can drive the car 120 km/h on highway
and clock 110 km on 10 ringgit petrol

since engine mounting pecah I might as well change the engine
lol

I want to go for ga16ds but scare only the fuel consumption
cheap aftermarket suspension like kayaba red from japan will do well I believe

it an oem replacement..

also will suffer from massive body roll...

[/b][/quote] N12 trailing arm meh? btw, check beneath ur trailing arm and see whether got slots to put the holder in.. now waiting for the pm for nissanforums.com mahai, their method is drill hole and screw in the holder into the trailing arm :o but the pic... really got my hopes high man...
