Squeeky sound when starting the engine

Got this squeeky sound when starting the engine, the sound goes like this 'ezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz' very sharp noise. What is the problem? :unsure:

maybe u should check the belts? at the pulleys i mean...coz sumtimes when the thing starts to worn out it would squeak when the engine is cold...after 2-3 minutes the squeak is usually gone...

yup.. thats true.. just get the belt to be readjusted and then put some silicon belt dressing..

Thanks dudes, i just got back the workshop to inspect the problem. The mech ask me to change the alternator, air-cond and power steering belts together when I'm planning to change the timing belt, in which another 10,000 kms my timing belt service. He says that I can still drive the car, just that I have to bear with the annoying sound. No harm, true? :rolleyes:

True the squeeky sound only happen in the morning. ;)

i have the same problem.
for my case, it is the aircon belt.
i changed it for RM12, it solved my problem. :rolleyes:

My alternator belt was lose. Just tighten, noise gone.

Yes most of the time its the belts problem. Even though they haven't run 10000km yet. Changing them is a good idea since they are cheap. :)
