SOS..! Advice needed.

I'm not sure where to post this prob of mine.. so hope you all can give me some advice on what i can do.

Recently (3 weeks back) i had a minor 'ouch' aka.. accident la. No worries.. i actually banged into a rock right in the middle of the road. I have to change my under-carriage and also the front bumper. So, i sent to this perodua service shop and i think they sent my kelisa to a workshop to get it done.

I just got my car back last week.. and maybe i'm over sensative or something but i noticed a few things different:

1. When i accelerate... in a straight road from 40 to as much as i can go (in this case.. i managed only to get to 70-80).. i kinda felt my engine is like straining all the way and it is slow to change gears (i'm using an auto car). Before i sent to repair.. it has this 'slow-to-change-gear' prob also but it doesn't take tHat long to change gear.. compared to now.. Is this a problem?

2. When i have my air-con running, after driving (my car on use) for i think.. say 20-30 mins.. when i stop at a traffic light for quite some time, the air con seems to be like.. on and off.. but still got air coming out la.. but can hear the sound in the engine there..like when you first on your air-con when you get into the car. I thought it was a lil weird but when the lights are green and when i move, i feel as though the car goes a lil to the front then to the back as that thingy goes on and off.. Is this a problem?

3. This is concerning my CD player. Before i sent.. when i on my radio.. the volume level would be at number 5 to be just nice.. Now, when i got back my car.. all the radio station i set was no longer there and i have to reset them again and now.. for a normal volume level, it would be around 8 or 9. Do you think they have changed my player or something?

Please advice.. would really appreciate it. Somehow.. i'm kinda dumb in this car thingy.. am planning to get a book called Cars for Dummies..

Item 1 to 3, they could hv swapped ur good parts with something else... happens on my dad's Inokom once. Workers' fault. Threathen to sue to service centre and the maneger swapped everything to new. Told him next time, will report to consumer tribunal and the media.

i think acbc is rite..i think they swap the new parts wit the old wan...maybe u can do like wat acbc dad did...tell them the prob and said u gonna sue them...

perodua is already well known for their horrible services. that is why i never send my mom's kelisa to any of the perodua service center. To cut it simple and short, never go to perodua service center.

as what have been mention by boosok and abc, i think they might have changed some of your parts.

i've just took my car to proton service n stay there till i get my car back...twice.after that,i take my darling elsewhere.

yup..i think they swapped the parts...and perodua service is totally useless..i used to have a perodua before...after the car used to comeback from them ..first of all it used to be dirty..and black oil marks wil be everywhere...once they had to change the ignition system...and when they did..all the wires were hanging from the car..the battery wires were left open..

so i took it to a mech i knew..he was shocked to see the job they did..the wiring was not even fastened properly...

there was this one time they left the seal open for the alternator...and when it rained..the car didnt start..well i learnt my lesson not to go there any more..and also i dont have a perodua no more....

better sue them..complaint ..and talk to the manager there..

Problem 1

The auto gear box might be damage and they do not fix it for you. Or they fix an old part just to make you happy. Slow in changing gear is quite common but if you feel is slower than you used to drive, that is something wrong. You need to file a complaint to them as soon as possible and demand a FIX RECORD from them

Problem 2
Perodua air con compressor is well known for this problem and usually it will start giving problem after 1.5 - 2 years old. In this case you are lucky , because you get the chance to blame it on the accident and you should get a brand NEW one, not to fix them

Problem 3
When they fix the car for you, the battery is plug off and that is why everything else is resetted. For the volume wise, is should not give you any problem at all. Unless like what the rest say that they might have switch with some old parts to your car .

IT is very common with car repair workshops.

Audio System
Tyres
Spare Tyres
Jacks and other removable item.

YOU need to file in the report and threated to sue them or bring it in the media, They know they did wrong and they will fix it back for you.

So serious ar? I do suspect them of doing this kinda things but i have no proof. Should i go to another mech and ask for their opinion first before i complain back to perodua? Or should i just go straight to perodua and complain?

Ivy,

I suggest you check with Perodua 1st and try to obtain as much explanation as possible. If not, last resort is to report the matter to the Consumer Tribunal as fraud case of which you can claim RM 5k and up to maximum RM 25k. Also, report it to the media.

If you are lucky, they will fix everything new (since they need to save their own arse).

Some workshops think since customer is a woman, she won't meddle so much... typical ego from men.

once the car out from service centre, we all helpless already. they will find all kind of excuses to avoid the accusation. but it might be worth trying...gud luck..

as for the 3rd part...
your radio was reset... try switching on the "LD" loud..
check the manual on where to switch it on...
maybe that could be the cause of lower volume sound..

I just don't want anything to happen to my poor car.. it is after all.. 5 months old.. :(

I have some experiance wz perodua service centre also.I took my perodua for tuning ones wz them.They tune and said was excellent.After driving for a week i feel that it makan petrol like mad.I took it check wz my EON mech and they said that it was very badly done.Eon did it for me until the ekzoz come out water,in short term meaning excellent.Perodua fu***** sucks.
