skunk vs type r intake manifold.

i'm in a dilemma in getting a skunk2 or type r intake. r both intake identical? i really like to get d skunk2 for looks but i've read in forums ur engine must be in top set up to use eg. cams, high comp. i'm on stock b16a2 i read if stock use skunk2 ur car losses power. but i was thking if use skunk2 intake with stock 58mm throttle body how ah? or shud i get a type r? i'll be getting toda spec A or ctr cam. daily use not race or drag. advise plz?

As for H series, better opt for Skunk2 as it's designed for hi-RPM.. Type R stended kilang..(in my case Euro R laaa...)

Stick with OEM type R intake manifold. The design is similar because Skunk2 actually based it on the OEM type R design so that it can be fitted to almost all the d-series, b-series and h-series. Whichever you can get it cheaper, then go for it. The emblem is a bling2 to have though. I haven't seen a dyno comparison nor i can find one out of google. But so far, US people have been stating to just stick with OEM type R manifold coupled with a heat insulating gasket....

Get the Toda A and then tuned with the type R manifold. It'll do fine with your application. If you are sticking with stock compression, you might see a little loss at low rpm but gains are nice around top.

so its identical these two manifolds. but from what ive seen the skunk2 plenum looks a bit bigger than itr. so any1 use the skunk2 yet?
actually i was offer itr manifold with a 65 mm rebore throttle body for like 900rm wat do u thk guys worth it?
im running stock b16a now, wont my car feel lumpy and lose response due to too much air volume in it. a kinda like a skunk2 intake with my stock 58mm throttle body, u thk this would work guys? or just get the 900rm itr manifold with throttle body?

ur car won't feel lumpy... as u can use Skunk2 intake...
As mine, i used the 18c intake and heat gasket.....

but if u use the stock 16a oso can...
u can done it with trial and error....

my opinion..b16a using type r ...coz last time my b16a engine using skunk2 the power feel like same with b16a manifold...after that change the type r b16b manifold with 2mm bore then can feel the power is up..hehe...but skunk2 use at the b18c or b20b engine sure more power lar...

As i've stated. The intake manifold design is the same with those of ITR manifold. Stock TB can be used. RM900? Here it cost around 1200 without TB. Consider yourself lucky. Just mate it with a heat insulating gasket along with the TB.

the only difference is the TB size. the rest is the same (injector size, fuel rail, manifold itself)

since the price of the used type-r IM is not that far from a brand new skunk2. just go
for the skunk2. affordable brand new.

whatever bolt-on parts u plan to fit in, even for humble daily driven, its good to have some piggyback/standalone calibration.
