SH4 Engine Swap

Hi All....

I want to swap my SH4 with EF9 B16a1 engine... here i need ur help guys about a couple of things.....

1) mounting...
current mounting can be used??? if not, how many mounting have to be modified for EF9 engine swap....????

2) additional parts have to change...
timing belt??? water pump?? clutch plate??? drive shaft??

opss.. one more thing.... current petrol/gas tank can be used ka?? or must change with "v-tec compliance tank"???

If you buy an EF9 halfcut, you can just transfer everything from the halfcut, very easy. Regarding the mountings, side mountings should be modified a bit only. Driveshaft, use that EF9 one. Current fuel tank can be used, but you need to change the fuel pump. Get a more powerful one. Recommended to change the clutch lining and timing belt.

thanks soulfly.... its so hard to find EF9 hafkat in KL.... i found the EF8 hafkat at kajang... EF8 is CRX isn't it?? is that EF8 also can transfer everything from halfcut????

sh4_online : where are you from? nice project you going to have there. I'm using SH4 too but maybe no conversion for the time being. Still looking for budget. Maybe you can update your progress from time to time. Known someone who have experience and done some SH4 conversion in Cheras.

actually.. i'm from KL also... rite now, i still find suitable engine and i hope i can find EF9 B16A, engine cun, ada bodypart and cheap (RM3k-RM3.5)... i wish.. kekekek... so harddd to find EF* hafkat maaa.... huhuhh

if anybody have a good workshop around Klang Valley please inform me... OK.. chow sin.... B)

Yes, EF8 also the same. Can transfer everything also, including the bodyparts. IMHO, CR-X bumper looks a bit more garang than EF9 :D

hai. aku pun pakai sh4 gak. dan dah selamat menjalani pembedahan pemindahan enjin
ef8/ef9 sama je cuma dashboard ngan ecu ada lain sket.
mounting kena ubah 3. depan, blah gearbox, dan timing belt. baru cun.
sb kedudukan semua lain dan tak cukup tinggi. chasis kena ketuk sket sb engine besar.
cross member ngan stereng rek leh pakai vtec punya. cuma klu teirod end rosak nanti baru tak takde jual.
uper arm lowwer arm anti roll bar air-cond komponen semua boleh. bak kata apa yg ko tengok kat engine bay semua boleh pakai luar dan dlm termasuk d/board.
yg tak leh pakai crossmember dpn.
panjang cite kalu aku nak explane kat sini
