Hey, dear all forumer, just want to ask u whats in your mind bout our country's RM1 coin? As most of the shop or stall out there doesn't accept it, i follow. But kena phuck nicely from lotsa customer since the goverment haven't officially announce its void.
If i take it, i cant bank'em in to the bank or use it either. I'm no expert to pick out which is the real and fake one. The bank will only accept the real one while the fakes will be confiscate.
I tried to use them at hawker or mamak stall. Kena reject nicely. So far, hyper market and 7-11 still accept those. But don't know how long will that last.
Whats your view?

Which RM1 coin u use ??? The 1987 one ??? or the 1992 ??? or the 1992 still can use i got no problem. Anyway if its the 1987 rugi u bcoz that coin very rare.

i heard in radio by october/november this year, government gonna ban all usage of rm1 coin... coz there are too much fake ones in the market and they can hardly tell out which one is fake/true ma... so best solution is to ban all rm1 coin usage, since we already have rm1 cash...

so u guys better quick bank in all ur rm1 coins before they expire... after expire all become useless liao (no cash value)... dat time u can use it to throw at dogs or cats adi... lolz...

yup
so many ppl rejecting RM 1 alredi .
omly place accepting e, is Toll and Market

My Customer phucking upside down while i think they themself dun wan to accept from their own customer. Damn it. I shot fire back. Then the worst part is they say they will lodge a report over me. Kwakwakwak...then i guess the "token" system will be standardise at arcade. Arcade Token is always making $ cos most of them is like "after u change your token, cannot change back to cash" that force u back to that place and play again. This system had been used for quite sumtime and making hell lotsa $!. Just sum of the arcades doesnt want this system as its quite cossy to mould their own brands of token and they don't know how long their arcade will last for good business!

Since when did the announcement of RM1 coin abolishment was made? I didn't have time to read the papers also. There are places still accepting RM1 as per my experience so far. I know that there are many fake RM1 coins around but Bank Negara, at the very least, should accept back ALL the RM1, whether fake or original. Why?
Simply because they are the stupid assholes who started the RM1 when we already have the RM1 note.

Though I can't remember whether it was the coin or the note that came out first but if the coin came out first followed by the note, they should have abolished the coin right after the note came out.

Again, typical of the malaysian ruler's "tidapa" or "tidak apa" attitude, they just left it out like that. Now, it's gone out of control and we innocent citizens, who can't tell the difference between a fake or genuine coin, have to bear the losses? Seems like another stupid bullshit from some stupid ass people who runs the grounds we currently walk on.

Dunno la never heard such thing. My mom works as a bank officer. If I have any problems I just make 1 phone call and then sure kau tim already :)

Try out farlim, mines just got rejected. Not to say rejected but they ask me if I have notes.
I say no, they squeeze their L to accept it.

It will spread widely soon. My advice, give all your 1MYR coins to me. :vroam:

erm, local banks and lotsa place dun accept anymore.

Bank ppl told us to change in bank negara, only the place will accept.

i really pity those who collect Rm1 coins..

I wonder if the G did take this seriously when the coins just started to appear... they took a really long time to catch someone every since these fake coins appeared in the market right.

Last year I had to buy MP parking tickets everyday, those machines only accept real RM1 coins. So I kind of got used to the 'feeling' of those fake coins already. They are very slightly lighter, the patterns on the surface are thinner and quite often the colour is different also. I used to be able to tell the difference just by holding the coin. :D

The crazy thing is even the banks are giving out these fake coins, cant help it so buat tak tau only. Once I got a RM100 change of RM1 coins, about 70-80 of them were fake coins. Paid all those to the toll operators. If those parking machines can tell fake coins from real ones, surely for the banks it will be a piece of cake but... sigh.
