i'm currently using h&r springs(3months old), front & rear...matched with a sports absorber..(quite low in the front, even using 14" 6jj rims..) on a car called kenari...
my problem is, the front tyre keep on scrathing my fender everytime i layan a bumpy corner...even fitted with my stock absorber before, pun also kena...cheittt
now i'm wondering if i can increase the front ride height (by not using adjustable abs la bro..) by an inch..
-there is some kind of rubber/spacer on the upper springs...
-anyone know how thick this rubber?...
-is there any spare part selling this rubber which is thicker than standard?...
-anyone have done it before?..

pls share with me before i get into more trouble with the ride height...thanks

cheerrss...

that prob occured last time when i'm using this setting
if u hav a spacer on ur wheels....take it off
or either change smaller jj rims or use back stock abs
more expensive alternative is changin to adjustable

taiko...i m using 14inchx6.5jj..H&r springs also..
bro i guess u can bend ur fender more...try n see...if kenot,i guess ur front abs kong edy lo..

or the best way is like wat pocketrocket taiko said...change to adj...mine front 1 finger ...rear 1 and a half..
never kena fender b4

i just changed my shocks last 3 weeks...nothing to do with the shocks...
even using standard shock, pun also kena...
my concern is with the ride height, not my rims or adjustable shocks...
if i can affort to buy a adjustable shocks, then why i need to posting this thread?...
then why this thread can be called modifications?....
and i don't apply ketok2 type of modifications..i will let this car go when the time is coming...
anyway, i do appreciate your suggestions...thanks

wa manyak long cerita!!!
One simple question for u, WHAT IS THE OFFSET OF YOUR RIM?

yup..if too keluar...sure kena..

on top of that...i suggect u check ur front abs, and also ur springs.Sometimes springs also kong wan u noe...

aiiyooo...why u all people didn't read the thread from the beginning?...

i'm using h&r sport springs (3 months old) ...is this too soft for u, Andres?..
and i just changed my abs to sports absorber last 3 weeks...also new!

the problem occured since i'm using the stock absorber...so, there is no issue of absorber kong or king kong or not kong at alll....

and i'm using 14' 6jj rims with 165/55 tyres which is not a problem....
my fren also using the same spec, but with different sport springs which is higher than my h&r...

my concerned here is, how to increase the front height around 1 inch only...(by not using adjustable abs..)

some people said, the front abs got rubber spacer inside the absorber cap...
now that is why i'm posting this thread, maybe one of us have done this thing...
maybe he/she can share with us without too much money involved in doing this things....
any more questions?....

normaly rubber caps for the rear yes got ...
bot for the front ... never heard of it b4 ...

neway i'm using 15" and 6.5" wide rims...
front no problem with the fender but rear kena...
that is b4 my hammer gave it a big kiss la...hehehe

I think there is a thing called rubber spacer/pad - placed between the springs and the abs. base.

A guy called cipan_supercas did it to his Saga (Check Saga/Iswara thread, too many post counts, lost track!) and it increased his ride height, apart from absorbing small bumps. I think he bought it for around RM20+ per piece. PM him.

Another solution is the new sport abs. you're using.
What brand izzit? Maybe it's not stiff enough albeit new?
Perhaps a better, stiffer performance-oriented abs. will help.
