Pet Turtle Needs Help..

Guys,
im have a pet turtle here, it's still a baby..
and it has not been eating for days..
im gettin worried..
the other one,(i have 2) is eating just fine..
FYI, im feeding them Nutrafin Floating Turtle Pellets..
which was from the same shop i got the turtles from..

i dun even noe wat species it is..
i tried google, and the closest i get is a Slider turtle..maybe a Red Eared Slider Turtle..

wat can i do now?
and how long can a turtle live without eating?
i cant let anything happen to it..
some one close gave it to me..

that red eared sliders are very hardy turtles... u try change his diet... try sliced apple, or veg... those guyz eat almost any veg stuffs...

u can try dried shrimps too

i only noe my galfren bought it in pets wonderland at the cost of 30 bucks each..
so..can u guys guess wat species it is?

i wud hav to continue feedin em with tat..
as i wud prefer the pellets coz it's convenient..

Used to have 6, one died due to neck sickness, sad ..

The other 5, 3 kuat makan, while the other two less opportunity to eat because the bigger ones always fight to eat more, and they chew faster.

Maybe you should try separate them and see how it goes.

My all 5 turtles have been released at a big pond nearby my place. There got more than 50 turtles. , let them make new friends there and have a new life.

30 bucks?! my god so expensive... I only recall back during my schooling days... i bought it for less than 10 bucks for one.

try change diet la.. maybe that guy fussy. Believe me... those turtles will whack anything in. hahahaha.

else.. bring it back to pets wonderland loh... consult them.

try cabbage..it's the turtle's fav...
other than dat, u can oso try bread...small sliced bread...

i used to have 4, but then, gave em all away when i start workin...no time to play with them...*sigh* u make me miss them now....

heard they supposedly love 'kangkung' or is that specific to terrapins?

yeapz... kangkung pun boleh...

ai.. last time my turtle.. throw anything in also they eat... all sorts of veg... dried shrimps... pellets...

but the one im talking about is not.. =(

i found out there's red eared terrapins as well..
so.. im not sure which is which now.. @.@"

terrapins has sharper nose, while the turtle are the usual turtle look.. issit this?

try buy them insect like those worms ar!!or little fishy let them run and catch them!!this will make them exercise de!!and ur place too small for them la!!buy something big like 1 feet by 1 feet or something bigged than urs leh!!try to change the water often!!!

My turtle tank is custom-made at some glass shop. I change the water once everyday. I still visit them sometimes at the pond, buy a Gardenia bread and feed all the turtles/tortoises. :cool:

thanks good!!custom made glass i think is kinda cheap compare to those plastic!!ya is kinda good to change once a day!!keep fresh water for them!!!glad that u still visit them!!haha

Actually, it is quite fun and relaxing to see those turtles and fishes swimming in the pond. Yes, there are also fishes, like 'Ikan Sembilang' and others.

Those fishes are fast in action, when they see food, just like Turbo, while tortoises are just N/A lor. :tongue:
