hi there everyone... i just finish fitted in my b20b block with a b16a head in my car but unfortunately in the 7k rpm onwards the car blows like a fuel cut. changed my nozzles to a higher cc (450cc) then lowered do the fuel regulator preassure to 30psi and increase 10% (only in the 7k and 8k rpm) of fuel thru my vafc (fields boxer brand) and the car still blows like fuel cut. Why is that???

and the second questions is how many cc is the single cam 2.2 vtec nozzles is??

please help me here thanx
 
- which wiring loom are you using? EG? EF? DC?

- which ECU are you using? PR3? PW0? what ECU chip are you using?
what are their vtec engagement point and rev cut?

- why using an overkill 450cc VR4 injectors? why the fuel pressure so low at 30 psi?
 
why need so big injectors? 450cc way too big..h22a injectors is sufficient..

using pr3 ecu, the chip is bought together wuth the ecu donno what ecu just write the mark of singapore and v tec engagment i set it to 5300 rpm

just trying my frens injectors it's and for the fuel preassure dropped from 40 to 30 psi. how can put so high laaa using big injectors. my only problems is the final rpm. oh ya my engine is still using stock components.no racing racing things

it seems we have no idea what sort of fuel and ignition mapping is in that chip. it could be running lean for all we know. since you are using the b20b block plus stock internals, it would be best to bring down the vtec engagement point lower since the real power of a b20b cr-v comes in between the 4000-5000 range and max at 7k-ish.

about your injectors, if i were to solve the problem, i would stick to the EG 240cc injectors and have my ECU remap accordingly to what mods i have. the 240cc injectors would be sufficient till 1,9XXcc and around 190whp. it would be lean by the time it reaches 190whp. the piggyback wont help so much if we do not know whats the basemap inside the ECU.

if things are done correctly, there could only be few possibilities left, clogged fuel filter, dying fuel pump or wrongly done fuel line to the head. you could always do a dyno run and see your a/f using wideband.

your b16a,b16b and b18c are all 240cc. only the latter model are high impedience.

bro..

does opting to higher injectors manage to get higher power gains(HP) and effiicient fuel consumption? i'm sure it will consume more petrol, but is it running efficiently or dead rich?

overfueling doesnt help when it comes to upgrade. it'll never be efficient when
u start to pay more and not getting power out of it. u can only apply injectors upgrade when the power starts to increase.

maybe insufficient fuel pumped at hi rpm... fuel pump cannot support due to use larger injector... maybe... maybe... wideband tuning can diagnosis ur prob...
 
i install a surge tank with a bmw fuel pump already so that means now i'm using double pumps. i don't think insufficient pumping of is is the prob.
 
the problem is when you reach to 7k rpm the car blows and i feel like not the fuel problem bcoz if you change to 2nd gear the car jumps back(i never know b20b go this kind of power bands) the problem is merely like a fuel cuts. i've increase till the maximum fuel and it still the same decrease it pun the same. and ok i know i need to remapped my chip. but the wiring digrams of the car is still DA7 diagrams.(b16a). in my previous engine i can rev the car till 8+++k rpm but why now cannot???
