I think the signal from the mp3 player is transmitted via RF (radio frequency) and the user is required to tune the existing car player the frequency. Just my theory...since our bro didnt reply you.

he means that this device itself has no memory...it's jz a device that connecting the USB pendrive/thumbdrive to the player thru FM transmit..
