Naszal is da sifu...
see...sifu olredi share his knowladge...
it's just a small prob. like a pennut ha Naszal..ahaks!!~

if i want to change my piston rings...can i get those proton 1.6 wan?
are they the same? or i need to get original mitsubushi mivec wan?

hey to all the daiko,
just now i race with my friend which is driving the honda Vtec B16A, damn !!!mine mivec was fault when i shift the 3rd gear !!! the 2rd gear i already rev rpm 8500+ but still , when i shift to 3rd gear ...my friend vtec was over me !!! damn ...
mine car have no racing clutch, but my friend got it ! is that make a big different of "who win" ??? i was very dissapointed with that ! can anyone tell me what can i do with my car? :(

gspot bro.. does the mutant chips (u know what i mean) also remap the ignition settings ?.. or just the fuel ?

delphy bro... i think other than stand alone and piggybank.. the other way to tune the AFR is using chip.. i mean custom made chip.. i think cipan supercas has told us about his Draxx chip custom made.. and fuel regulator off course.. probably there's other way..

ykong bro.. vtec's 3rd gear and their final drive are the main weapon.. most ppl said this.. well.. racing clutch do makes a different but im not sure how big is it.. try 3 plucks racing clutch.. but you'll suffer in traffic jams.. what else to do?.. well... sifu's naszal and gspot can help you.. btw.. r u on 1.8?

im oso learning.. :D

naszal and gsport,

Thanks for the feedback. With hybrid mods , i would place fuel and ignition as one of the main priority. After the mechanical stuff are in , it's the mapping that plays the important role of keeping everything inorder for power and reliabiliity.

I don't believe 1 ,2 or 3 dynos are enough to get the map rite , but it's a start.

once again thanks ....

fyi, i'm currently thinkering the mapping via smt 6 ... i

cheers

I would suggest that u go for VAFC2 latest version. But is still depends on ur modification. For example if u r running everything stock dun aspect that u can gain any HP if u install VAFC. Like me i m dieng for VAFC bcos of fuel problem alot of knocking sound and running stock ECU.

Zeneger,
hehehe...my car is quite stock, just hope that it can provide me better fuel consumption or optimize the fuel burned & the engine can run more smoothly. didn't eapect gain alot on HP....more HP = more fuel mah. :(

guys.... plz help... my mivec is till new OTR n very very stock...
but my fuel consumption dam kao high.... rm50 for 300km only....
usually shift at 3-4k only...
only rev to 8k once or twice when just after refuel..... then normal dun dare to rev... coz drive so 'carefully' shift every 3-4k also so makan minyak... plz help sifu.....

kwai, go for EFI tunning first...
tell ur mech about this...should get free tunning...
i rev my car hard sometimes, fuel consumption still ok
mine stock mivec also...

yah if i want to joint who can i contact????

can let me know the contact number or person???

but ppl said the machine they connected to our ECU is just to check where's the prob only..... cannot do any tuning right? :( dunno la.. friend said one...

Kwai do u have any idea about ur half cut back ground did Japanese do something or your foreman no expereince make ur car "SAN FAN SUE"

Last time my mivec like drink water also, after so long only found that the fuel regulator has been modify by JApanese. My engine they used it as a Rally car in Japan they took out the HI-Cam and ECU but leave the fuel regulator there, When i go dyno can see super Rich AH loon check my Ecu he said standard. Everyone also headic when so rich, then slowly check 1 by 1 found that the fuel regulator diameter size is so tiny means small hole the fuel return to fuel tank very slow make it so rich.
But after change back to original damn smooth car much lighter less black smoke those day like turbo car alot black smoke when hi rpm fuel consumption 40litre = 440-480km in city drive hardly traffice jam bcos my working time so ODD.

even now i m running 1.8 / 40litre = 380-440km

Welcome Farder ..... everyone is welcome to join the club .... u can contact Zeneger 012-3709020 or contact me Loon 012-6683627 ..... any question about mivec u can feel free to ask ... thanz

the whole engine is stock leh... except its come with K&N drop in....

this engine was frm a lancer... dun think is for race purpose...

no black smoke, white smoke.... :(

Kwai ..... mind to come out to have a check for the engine ..... I henry usually was a mechanic .... so maybe i can help some of it.... u can feel free to contact me .... 012-6683627 Loon ... i was in puchong area ...

guys,
I was reading CBT yesterday and this guy had some problem with cold start, more or less the same problem I'm having here. Does a Mivec engine use a cold start valve or ECU programmed thingy to richen the A/F at cold start? If it does use a cold start valve, where is it located?

every morning ( cold start for that matter )I need to wait till the engine hot enuff then oni I can rev the baby. If i straight away revving after starting the engine, the engine will go semput as in not enuff fuel coming in.

Last time driving 1.3 carbie, start engine str8 away can blah. My fren using VR4 oso start engine can blah liao.

thanks all.

delphinium, In ur case u have to do manual cold start rev ur rpm at 1.5krpm to 2.5krpm using ur foot. Then look at ur temp once it reach the 0 level then u can drive remember when we start the engine the temperature is at negative level very low. If u at 0 level ur car wont jerking, every morning i will wait for about 60 to 90 second just for the engine warmup. If ur engine TEMP did not reach near half warm u cant even kick in ur mivec.

I remember 1 time me and a friend finish cybercafe at Cheras then we heading back home, saw 1 EG very friendly driver keep reving when he saw us me and my friend mivec also started chase him then he on double signal very cool. The worst thing is that mivec cannot kick in bcos engine too cold that time was about 3am weather is cold damn potong STEAM....

thats interesting see when u free me and Ah loon would like to look at your engine than how long u been driving ur greedy for fuel mivec. U r driving satria some more should not be so high fuel consumption. But dun worry we have a Foreman and ecu expert Mr Ah Loon.
