Mivec Club

I like to suggest a drag session after TT session, how?
Frenly drag session :) , just want to test the car power only...
 
how do i join your club?? just changed to a mivec engine and would like to know more bout it
 
guys i got question to ask to u all mivec sifus :D ..what is the problem if ur mivec doesnt activate??..does it hav to do with your ECU..or the mivec solenoid???or whatever they called it..thankss... ^_^
 
first and foremost, check your engine oil. this is from my experience lah. i add in a bit more oil and voila! wraaarrppp ...

in your case it could be a lot of reasons. it just happened few days back or the Mivec never kicked in one long time already?

btw, a mechanic told me Mivec dont use solenoid one. VTEC does.

hmmm i personally experience b4 is that not enof engine oil.

1st stage is that when mivec kick in at about 6k-7k rpm will rev cut u might tough ur spark plug is dead ?
2nd stage will totally not kick mivec.
3rd stage if u r unlucky ur mivec switch at engine is dead cos u about RM250.

IF ECU got problem u cant even start ur engine at all just like ur comp if proccesor dead u cant on at all..... But very rare case will spoil ecu unless short circuit ~!~~!~

Explanation true my experience if i m wrong pls correct me heheh :D
 
hmm..what about the valve..can the valve effect the mivec??.. <_< and one more thing i wanna ask to mivec owners...hav u ever hav air cond problem??... :P
 
yeap, i've experienced....air cond compressor kong coz i high rev too much wif the air cond on.....
 
dun ever go top speed with air con on. i spoil mine last time going at about 190kmh on with air con.. or high rev

I would siad 60% mivec got air con problem

HMMM Valve ? it might cost white smoke from exhaust ?

guys, need help
im using lsd gearbox. The problem is, when turning at low speed, there's a sound from the driveshaft or gearbox (i think driveshaft). My mechanic told me that it is the gearbox. What can i do to solve this problem ? Do u guys know any workshop that can repair lsd gearbox with a cheap price ?
 
Is it when u are turning at low speed? or just moving at low speed? if is turning then that is normal just use those GOOD lsd gear oil

wat to check for faultyness when looking at a chopshop condition mivec halfcut? sum particular parts which are prone to be faulty for mivecs?? thanks in advance :P

Hello Buddies;

Who would like to solve my ktek-ktek-ktek knocking sound problem? Long story. Go take popcorn.

FYI, I use my mivec for weekends only. In 7 months I cover only 4000 kms. Thats about it. For 7 months using the engine now I covered only 4000 kms.

The story begins like this, there was one night when I "rembat" the car. It was only around the taman/neighbourhood. For a mere 2 minutes. Maxed out 1st and 2nd gears.

Then I parked the car. Before turning off, I could see smoke coming out from the left headlight. Popped the hood, the area between the body and the timing belt there got some smoke. Wandered what smoke........ but it went off eventually. Did I burn the tyre so bad? Didn't take heap cos to me, at that time, normallah....

The next week, when I wanted to use the car, got clunking sound coming from the belting area there. It gets subdued when driving but louder when stationery. More louder when aircond.

Went to mechanic. Opened one-by-one of the auxilary belts (aircond+altenator) so that we eliminate those 2 parts - still got sound. Only thing left is the crank pulley. I saw the crank pulley kinda donnow what la.... kinda not totally turning smoothly round... (dumb statement)

So he got nothing left to open, he opened the crank pulley and the small round bottom end of the timing belt steel cover after the crank pulley gets exposed. Nothing wrong here. So he puts it back. Fixed the crank pulley back and started the engine - amazing - the sound gone!

So I pun go home. And park the car. Happy. Only to find out the next weekend the sound suffices again. But now more subtle. Selectively, kadang-kadang ada, kadang kadang takda. But IT IS Still therelah senang cakap.

So today I went to see him again, you know he said what? Tukar pulley!

What the curse man? Pulley bengkok ke?

He said the pulley maybe takda ngam lagi.
I don't know. Need to get second opinion.

So I ended up putting Tufoil. Didn't do jack. The sound still there. But now I'd say 65% less occurence and audible then before......

The only good Tufoil did was, what I could notice is, creeping in gears (1st, 2nd, 3rd gears with throttle closed, whilst driving at slow speeds) is smoother. Not much though. SNAKE OIL!

So anybody, do you guys know what is wrong with my car? Bearing of the pulley maybe? It cannot be the cams coz my engine is so smooth and the mivec can still kick in.

Anybody?
 
guys, i heard ppl say mivec no need to change extractor ? izzit true ? mivec extractor already 4-2-1 ar ?
