Mazda RX8 Will not start

A friend of mine has a RX8 that just would not start. Then he was out of the country and the car has sat for 1 year. It of course still will not start but will turn over. Any easay check/Fix?

Tow the car with ignition key on, put it into gear and release the clutch when it reach speed more than 40kmh... this work on my friend rx7.

Check if the darn fuel-pump runs, or the injectors may have gummed ... :hmmmm:

Yes turns over, just won't start. I will try these things

try depressed accelerator and hold it while turning the ignition for 8 seconds.
now release the pedal, and try to start again.

or could it just simply run off of petrol?
