map sensor modifucation?

some body can told me without change ecu,map sensor still available to detect boost up and send signal to original ecu to control air/fuel with 14.7.(any modifucation on map sensor)

oem map sensor can support up to 1 bar.. if u need more than that try aftermarket one like greddy 3 bar..

I thought the stock MAP sensor was 1 bar (or was it 1.5?, I forget), but limited by the ECU not being able to accept positive pressure? Not disputing really, I'm just expressing my thoughts aloud.

Where did you get that information? Is that for SOHC engine or the B16A?

Yes, the MAP sensor can read till 0.7 and slightly above without check/bypass valve IF the chip is programmed to run on boost. Have accidently boost 0.9-1bar without CEL. Not sure why also, but maybe the map sensor might not be accurate due to wear and tear.

Yes, You can utilise your stock map sensor to run up till 0.7bar, dun haf to change it. Unless you boosting higher than that.
Aftermarket map sensors like the 2.5 or 3 bar map sensors can be used on
ori ECU also. All you need is a turbo chip. Only applies to OBD1

Haltech 3Bar Map sensor...its available at N1 racing sunway.

the only reason why u wanna change the map sensor to 3 bap is u have mapped the ecu to anything below 3bar boost. turbo maps.
