May i ask what r the advantages of lsd gearbox? Does it still do the job even 4wd is being locked to 2wd?

hai crocky! as the name says...Limited Slip Differential.

LSD is used to prevent unnecessary slip, better traction. can feel a bit heavier though and u must use thicker oil, always known as LSD oil. never use 140 grade oil normally for rear differential for LSD.

using lsd on my 4wd GB locked 2wd also... good for cornering and 1st, 2nd gear sprint...

if you like to race on roads like genting or cameron highlands, then you will LOVE LSD... LSD also balanced up your car traction

resulting tyre worn up very fast :D

1.5 way = diff locking up under accel and decel (partially)
2 way = diff locking up under accel and decel
full lock = always lock.. no matter on/off throttle

yer ker, SAYC as i know it is the anti yaw control which is the electronics that is used to control the evos body from yawwing when taking corners.. if u are talking about traction control, its like apple to orange.. as the LSD is mechanical while the traction control is electronic..

yup....SAYC is to control the evos body yawwing when taking corners...while LSD control traction when car start moving from static...but LSD also distribute force to right and left wheel when car taking a corner either in accel mod or decel mod...just like AYC operate...i think SAYC and LSD have a same function....but AYC is trademark for Evo instead LSD for major car...same like ATESSA trademark for GTR...all i had learning from game GRAN TURISMO...huh...btol ke penjelasan aku....correct me if i'm wrong...

AYC is not for ordinary 4WD car but it's like trademarks for Evo's...like ATESSA for GTR's...correct me if i'm wrong... :rolleyes:
