Loud S-flow mufflers

i just recently change to mugen twin loop S-flow .. i can feel the low end torque improve .. from 0rpm - 3000k rpm .. but slightly between 3000k - 5000k rpm in the middle seems power loss a bit .. then 5000k till above n VTEC opens .. no prob

b4 im using HKS Hiper .. straight flow .. seems that i miss the sound of it .. VTEC + straight flow exhaust .. damn syok when the VTEC kicks .. when im using straight flow .. ive got a bad low end torque power .. from 0rpm - 3000k rpm .. i loss a bit power .. but then from 3000k above till end .. feel the power..

ohh well .. thinkin of letting go my S-Flow twin loop .. its not suitable for me .. too soft .. sounds like pussy cat.. definetly not for me ..

oh btw im using honda prelude bb1/bb4 .. fitted with H22A dohc VTEC..

Dude, how much are you letting go the Mugen twin loop S-flow?

I'm quite sick of my stock muffler on a SOHC VTEC Civic. Wondering if it fits?

i used it b4, back last time when i in aust, used it in my s14 old model
well muffers pretty good but danmm loud!!

ic..i didnt know they were made in china..i thought it is made by locals but quality is same as australian one..

anyway, i guess im going for S-FLOWs like F1 racing sport(Datco) or Pro 1 Racing...

the quality is almost same like any branded one, i would say this MONZA is one of the best clone and not only muffler they made they even made bucket seat , steering wheel, gear nob... etc....

Now i'm using s- flow some local malaysia brand can't afford the branded one hehe

all money...but MONZA is straightflow..not really my type..noisy leh...play too much of it last time..want something quiet that my gf wont make a sound to me..lol.. i will be having pro 1 racing twin output pipe..

wanna ask is GTi's muffler a S-flow? how is the flow pattern like? coz it has twin outlets... can i like seal 1 side ? make some noise wif it? reason also coz my satria bumper has only a x-zos hole on 1 side..

if la standard piping just pasang s flow muffler but the muffler is jasma approved,got sound ka? mine's 4 inch tip laa...my fren said sure no sound..no experience in s-flow...all straight

Hello bro, although normal satria got only one hole as you stated, gti's muffler can be fitted nicely.

Why my exhaust when accelerating got some sound like "tttaaazzzzzzz" or "sssaaaattztzzzzzz" sound? Using Zenden 4-2-1 with 2" piping with no bullets at all to a S-flow MARCO muffler. Slow acceleration doesn't have that sound, when press then only got.

i reli think tat if u all not using turbo, juz stick to s-flow ler... straight flow so bising, FC also bad, sound fast only but car not fast... dunno why some LMST drivers change to straight flow lagi.... how they tahan the noise. :shocked:

kent123o433242343o4502 , ur not d only one having tat "problem" ... my LMST also have.... after changin extractor n letak 1 bullet.. but since u said u dun hav bullet .... maybe its not the bullet tat causin that ssssssssssssssss sound .. maybe its after changing our extractor? .. hmm....

Yeah, maybe. Luckily i have a friend like you sharing this pppssstttt sound. I am so happy to hear that. I taught my car something wrong or weird. Got any power gain after installation of the extractor? I hope is not psychology only. A 5hp gain won't make any big feeling i guess.

DEFINITELY NOT PSYCHOLOGY~!~! im a zenden user also..got xtractor and bullet..can hit 5krpm-6.5krpm easily and the power is still there to push my car...

the sound 'taaazzzz'...'saaatzzzz'...probably is becoz the resonance that coz by ur pipings...did u guys change to new piping ? it might be becoz the pipes shakes in high frequency(welding not perfect?)...try going back to the shop and check.. i dont have such sound out from my exhaust or anywhere..i just heard air sound..psss...nice ;)

Hello bro, i changed all the pipes to a premade pipes that is made for ek4. Just plug and play only. No need welding worr from front to the back. Just secure the bushes joint only. How to solve the metal sound ehh?

hehee.. dun worry la its not piping knocking anywhere ... i also dunno wat is it, but if piping knocking anywhere i think the sound will be worse than 'psssssssssssssss'.
hehaahaa... cant say its psychology or not, changin extractor juz abit of HP gain only.. our car is still the same cc ... dyno runs will b the best way to find out, but dyno runs over here r quite expensive to me la...

ken: i dunno bout that pipings..logically thinking, will it be other parts of ur car sound like strut bars knocking or spare tyres not locked properly..since u say its xhaust sound..it should be back of ur car..go check leh..hehe..

nitrus: definitely agree with what u say..zenden or hotbits extractor gives 6 bhp..but torque will be bout 16 Nm which is to say 10% more torque for standard cars. Depends how ppl say bout power or torque. Change mufflers might be psychology dealing sometimes. But, expanding ur pipings , xtractor changing will surely push ur car to the max. It is apparent result with those installation. So far, Zenden xtractor no kacau...performance is satisfying..

Thanks for the information bro, really happy to hear that gain around 6hp. A little power gain would be good than enough liao for a daily driven potato car like me. Before i install the whole system don't have the sound worr. Just after installing it then the sound appear liao. Haha! It seems the sound come from the front worr. Hehe, one more thing.

Why before i install the system i checked my exhaust every morning to check whether got water vapour or not. No vapour wor. But after install everything then got worr.

Bro, i'm driving a 95 satria with the no. plate on the bumper(back), which only have a big hole on the right.. the muff is on my car, but not so nice lah, last owner made it such a way that it hangs low enuf to pass the bumper, then got a hole at the side...

wow, seems theres alot of satisfied users of the zenden xstractors... price not bad too...

any heat issues with them Zenden Xstractors? heard stainless steel arent good as they cool down very slowly thus loosing power...
