Hi all honda-rians . I just wanna ask some questions from all the sifus out there. I am very very confuse bout these stuffs ...

What is the different between Ek2 , Ek3 and Ek9 hatchback ? Izzit only the engine or bodykit or anything else ?

And aslo izzit Ek3(4Doors) buttock is slighty shorter than Ek4(4Doors) or any other EK model ? Cause some of the civic I see the buttock is much longer than Ek3 .

And aslo Ek3 and Ek4 (4doors) the facelift where u change to grill type you u need to mod it urself or izzit ek4(4D) already got the ori facelift without modding while ek3(4d) you need to mod is urself ?

Ek (4doors) got how many version of it ? and aslo hacthback got how many models?

Please help me ... i am very very confuse ... thanks

my bro recently bought a ek3... i also blur blur.. need help too.
how come my bro ek3 is quip with a non vtech single cam silver engine?
wherelse i see my fren's ek has a vtech single cam black engine.

planning to change the front and rear absorbers... can i fit in the ek5 absorbers? does ek5 absorber stronger than the ek3? i mean OEM.
how about disc brake for rear? which car to choose?

EK3 - 1.5 SOHC Vtec with multimatic gearbox
EK4 - B16A
EK9 - B16B

The length for all the EK 4 doors model is the same.

i think civic is a wise choice! ahahaha... accord sure fuel consumption high... roadtax expensive... rare somemore now.

my bro is a EK3 recond from japan... then b4 him another one owner. he bought it for RM45,800 dunno expensive or not. i don see Vtech on his engine... Only HONDA. confused... but it is 1.5L for sure..

but civic also quite expensive .. rm50k +... for those modded 1 like b16b or b18c engine.. rm60k~rm70k .. rm80k also got..

EK3 got 2 type of engine
1 is SOHC vtec
another is just SOHC w/o vtec

both are 1.5 litre and both have the same engine code as D15B, they also share the same multimatic gearbox
the only way to indentify is the word on the valve cover
VTEC / HONDA
and the vtec selenoid near the alternator

EK3 Mi = 1.5 SOHC hyper 16-valve (non-vtec) + PGM-FI
EK3 Vi = 1.5 SOHC 3 stage vtec + PGM-FI

...both got multimatic gear....

EK4 4d does not have the '99 specs. The 99' specs is the vi rs variant. When change to yr 99 grill also have to change bumper, lights, bonnet, fender, then add lip spoiler. Unless u get from brother's the compatible yr 99 look grille, but it wouldn't look nice.
