sorry guys...having exam this month....
almost every two weeks got progressive exam....damn....
date u can ask VP to set....because my time not sure wan....
sorry.... but i'll bring my old junk when i come LE TT
I got AE80. I want to ask something about this LE, why it run on FF. My friends said it should run on FR especially when it had Black Top 16V.
I just new to car's world.
same with me. sometime ppl thought that i remove/broke the left.
anyway, what kind of spring & absorber should I use for my AE80. I have change it many times, but after run back n forth from Terengganu to Kedah, it start to skid sometimes when entering corners.
I think its safe to say that the E70 series was the last of the rear wheel drive corollas, and the only E80 produced which are FR's is the AE85/86.
Your friends must be mentioning about the AE85/85... levin/trueno.
The LE never did have a blacktop as far as i know. And why it was a FF could be due to factors such as the elimination of the driveshaft tunnel or a rear differential which reduces weight and increases cabin space and boot space... allows better traction... the direct connection between engine and transaxle reduce the mass and mechanical inertia of the drivetrain compared to a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a similar engine and transmission, allowing greater fuel economy... etc etc...
But if u asked me why are the AE85 and 86 FR's... aHAhaHAhaHAh... sorry la... i dunno... but, i guess it allows better acceleration due to the shifting of the weight to the rear wheels... and also better handling in dry conditions...
Please shoot me if i am wrong... also trying to learn here...
Im using Bridgestone Turanza, either dry wet or semiwet, it always skid unless you turn 80kmh which has no fun to begin with.
Interestingly it fun when you got tickets from police, dang.
What brand should I choose for spring and absorber. At least it can hold for 3-5 years in rough condition coz road to SP not always promising( under maintenence).
Also can give few pic for guidance.
Yes, black top 16V, can get them from Levin. Red Top I never saw it with my own eyes also blue top.
I dont know you would believe it or I might get cheated, but UMW mechanic and parts seller knew my dad for supplying parts for the engine.
