Dear all K-car owners,

Been trying to search in zth for the info, but the search doesn't want
to return any result that I wish to find regarding the modification
that can be done on Kelisa. (I AM NEWBIE IN ZTH, HELP / REPLY IS
MUCH APPRECIATED).. :)

Driving a kelisa 1.0 auto & I would like to have some info on the following:-

1.) What daihatsu engine can be transplanted into this car? (auto model)

2.) From what model is that daihatsu?

3.) What is the HP produced by that engine?

4.) Will it be a strainght forward transplant ? ( no need to mod mounting & etc...)

5.) What is the con of the transplant?

6.) What is the normal cost of the half-cut?

7.) Beside engine transplant, what other parts from the half-cut that
can be port over without much modificiation?

Thanks a lot for any info reply.. :)

* Please don't scold me if the similar questions has been posted again and again..
* thanks thanks thanks.. muak !... :_:

currently K3-vet is the best engine available for our car
is 1.3 turbo tip tronic
prepare at least 8k for the transplant

are you gonna worry bout fuel consumption, cost of replacement parts, problem with the authorities...if not and you have loads of money to spend on then it's ok...

and et RM8k i think is insufficient to get a K3-VET...most probably might be enough to pay for the half-cut only nowadays...then the workmanship of swapping and pay for the runners, puspakom and others ler...

hmm..k3vet got 140hp if not mistaken....semi0auto gear box. bout 10k can get everything for the daihatsu if u got the lobang. from head till the end, import from japan.
L7 should enough for kelisa,as the body is veli light.

need grap some info here, any seat's suitable for kelisa?recaro n daihatsu model?

^_^

RM8000??

You all know what can do on RM8000??

If Kelisa A/T can do 13km/L...

RM8000 can let you go 64194KM liao...

swapping of L9 into Kelisa is quite easy...cos you are not the one to do it mar...mech do wat...you just watch...heheh...

manual...no...never seen anyone with L9 manual before...some said can be mated with EJ-DE tranny lar...until now no living proof...

Yup, all K-Car engine have to be under 660cc and 64ps.

ohhh...and i thought it was 58...hahahha...

but the reliability of a modified L series engine is gonna be lower...right

reliability of modded engine will be lower??
what do u mean exactly??

im driving a kenari with L9 engine 660cc 16valve 4 cyl turbo...
been using it for almost 2 years...so far so good...registration is not a problem..plug n play, nor other alteration need....
been boosting 1.2bar since i got it...now, upgraded to a slightly bigger turbine..
hp increase is around 85-95hp...
tune only using SAFC and fuel regulator...nothing else...

if u decide to take L9 engine, make sure u use L9 original fuel tank, cos kelisa/kenari ori fuel tank is not suitable for hi boost appliction... standard boost (not more than 0.9bar) can laa....

so you think your L9 could outlast an untouched EJ-DE in terms of reliability...and i am not talking about gentle driving...

stroker kit,is it same to plug and play with L9 and kelisa?
how bout ur gear box?

is because of fuel return application or higher pressure fuel pump?
