Dear YB Syed Hamid Albar
Home Minister
Re: Aina Mardiah Shahrial, 17
You may not know Aina, she is the eldest daughter of Shahrial Sirin, an ISA detainee. On the afternoon of July 2, about 3 pm, she was admitted into Kajang Hospital. The girl was fighting for her life. The family immediately informed authorities at Kamunting, where her father had been detained for the last 7 years.
Somehow, Shahrial was only told of her daughter's illness at 10.30 am the next day, July 3. Aina's mother made a personal appeal to the authorities at Kamunting to let her daughter be with the dad for the last time. The doctors said Aina had only a few hours of life left, God-willing.
The authorities at Kamunting said they could not release Shahrial. They had to get your signature on the release papers. Yes, YB, your precious signature.
Aina's father was finally released at 5pm. It was the longest four-hour journey to Kuala Lumpur.
Shahrial got to her daughter's side at 9.45 pm. He was too late. Aina had passed away at 6.20pm without seeing her father.
Thank you, YB, and may Allah bless you and your family.

Norlaila Othman, a wife of an ISA detainee herself (read here), told me that the Abolish ISA Movement will be writing to Syed Hamid so that the Minister knows about the father and daughter. And that besides love, sometimes all we need is a bit of common sense.

Yes, the story can made some peoples' eyes become wet. But that is not the reason for creating a loop hole on current laws system. I felt sorry to the girl. But sorry is sorry. Before you fully know the full REAL story, don't simply trust anything. Because anything can be use for attacking some people by some people.

I just wanna tell you, law is law, emotion is emotion. If the emotion can affect the law execution, then may as well remove the law.

Those people who received damage during the hindraf rally, because of the girl's birthday party in parliament or those roses presentation, they pity the girl and should ask the gov to release the hindraf leaders? The needle never pinch your skin yet.

There are millions of sorries available everyday all over the world. Where T.F. is the judgment base line should be? When look at the prisonal ass whipping and felt sorry, should form a group and remove it.

Law is still made by human...yes, law is law...emo is another side of matter. Just, it should has another protocol if YB is not there. Perhaps they have to learn, breaking the law for some good reason. Hehe...

Here...more info on ISA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_Security_Act_%28Malaysia)

The stated purpose of the ISA was to deter communist activity in Malaysia during the Malayan Emergency and afterwards. The first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman, defined the purpose of the act as to "be used solely against the communists...My Cabinet colleagues and I gave a solemn promise to Parliament and the nation that the immense powers given to the government under the ISA would never be used to stifle legitimate opposition and silence lawful dissent". The third Prime Minister, Tun Hussein Onn, stated at the same time that his administration had enforced the act only with a view to curbing communist activity, and not to repress "lawful political opposition and democratic citizen activity".
look below....

  • 1998 - Anwar Ibrahim, deputy Prime Minister. Previously detained in 1974.

  • 1990-1991 - Various leaders and prominent members of Sabah's political opposition party, Parti Bersatu Sabah, were arrested during Operation Talkak.
    • Abdul Rahman Ahmad, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Special Branch.
    • Albinus Yudah, opposition party member, member of Kadazan Cultural Association.
    • Benedict Topin, opposition party member, Executive Secretary of Kadazan Cultural Association.
    • Damit Undikai, retired Special Branch police officer.
    • Jeffrey Kitingan, opposition politician, director of the http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Institute_for_Development_Studies&action=edit&redlink=1 .
    • Maximus Ongkili, deputy chief director of the http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Institute_for_Development_Studies&action=edit&redlink=1.
    • Vincent Chung, administrator, Sabah Foundation.

They could have 1 or 2 police officers escort the father for just a day to see his daughter but then again, considering what csl said, there's just WWWAAAYYYY too many sorry cases to have feelings for. So, might as well just say, "fuck it la" and move on with life. And following in line with that kind of attitude, then it's just too bad the daughter die without seeing her father. The people with authority have WWWAAAYYYY too many sorry cases to handle and should not mix emotions (human factor) with politics.

So, if I hate a certain group of people, then y'all who don't like me for hating that group of people should just let me be cos there's WWWAAAYYYYY too many reasons for me to justify for it.
Likewise, if someone accidentally kill a politician in a car crash, that person should just say "fuck it la" and move on with life because that person should not mix emotions with politics. Emotions are emotions. Politicians are politicians. We can't be feeling sorry for the politicians cos there are just WWWAAAYYYY too many sorry cases about those politicians. So for that crash that killed the politician, the country should just do a funeral and be done with it, case closed. Jailing that person who crash the politician means the authorities are acting based on EMOTIONS. The law? That's near rubbish so don't even bring that into the picture.

Correct me if I'm wrong, ok. Cos sometimes, I speak with some emotions in my postings. Why? Cos I ain't no fucking politician and I'm glad I'm not so that I can still keep my emotions and BE A HUMAN! And even if I may be a half fucked up human, I'm still a human as compared to those who are fucked up and not human.
