Idling problem

sifus,
I have an engine idling problem.The idling will drop to 300-400(300)when i'm using aircond.It will make my car feel vibrate from inside.I noticed that when the aircond fan is engaged.I f i'm only use a blower,the problem doesn't occur.could anybody advise me what sould i do?...is it because of aircond need service?...

Just tune ur car in Honda Service Center. They should tune it nicely for u. I think just need to adjust the RPM level when idle loh.

how much is the cost to tunning in Honda Service Center. My car also hv this problem same as Jinggut's car problem

jingut,

it might be caused by the EACV problem. You can try ask the mechanic to cuci for u in case the thing is full of dirt. this problem is common for honda. :)

sohc vtec hav to tune to higher rpm .. tune it to around 1.3k rpm.. when the engine gets hot.. it will stick at 900rpm.. when ya turn aircon on.. it will drop till 600~800 ... same thing happen to me.. when the first time the mech tune to 1.3k rpm.. i said u siao ar.. so high.. then he explain lo.. n it's true.. so hope u all try..

last time facing same problem n send my car to HSC to tune it...
until now no problem on idling... only still cannot be fast car.. :lol:

I think you can get it done for less than 100 provided u have no other problems lah. I always service my car in Osaka Puchong (next to Wei Yip Puchong, some where near Tesco). Their mechanic is all from HSC previously. Skillful and charge cheaper than HSC a bit. They have a computer device to tune ur car.

The service center ask me to clean my injectors. Any place can provide cheap and good service? They say need to be cleaned by special machine or something. They charge me 200+ for that.

I kena twice before. The problem similar like yours, idling drop and the dashboard gegar abit WHEN i switched on the aircond only. only that my problem is with my aircond compressor. When was the last time you serviced your aircond? Have you changed your compressor within 3 years?

After changed to a new (recond ) compressor, problem solved.

I am not sure whats your car's problem actually is, mine solved when I changed the compressor.Now no more vibrate when i switched on the aircond, no more erratic idling.So consider problem solved.

Rm280 siap pasang if your car is JDM. others i dunno la.avoid buying at chop shop, u might not know either the compressor still ok or not.price around rm140 at chop shop.at least buying at aircond man slightly expensive but i can get 3 months warranty..

mine i bought brand new from Honda. Cost me about RM1300 plus installation and aircond servicing.
