Due to recently, my battery weak, but i need to approve by company so that i can change a new one, it take 1 mth for them to approve, so i almost got good experenice everyday jump start my car.

But got 1 incident, my friend help me to jump start my car, he said his car must Ram his enigne to higher RPM then to jump start my battery so that his battery won't spoilt. Is it true?

because normally I didn't do this.

I normally tell the other guy to just rev till mid rpms, it works actually
With my dad's car, if his on idle,I can't start my car, I need him to rev his car then only I am able to start mine

And of course, get thick cables

yes. i using Made In Japan thick cable.

When he ram his engine to mid RPM, after start my car, the cable got smoke and spoilt.

I had used this cable about 1 mths without problem, after his new idea of RAM up engine to start up my engine, cable immediate spoilt.

I had advise those techical ppl who help me start up engine this few day, they said don't need RAM engine up.

Very sad, need to buy new cable again. I wonder cable got any warrentee?
why RAM up engine will spoilt the cable? they are still the same 14V. so small Voltage, will spoilt thick cable, that funny?

bro,

when u connect the jumper from one car to another car...

u start the car(the one wit strong battery) and revv 2000rpm for few seconds...

this step is to charging ur weak battery

after tat, start ur car engine and disconnect both jump cable

When u rev the engine, it gives higher voltage to the receiving car which may require a bit more juice to get it started. Another alternative is to ground the negative cable of the receiving car to get extra umph...

Bro,

1) My friend told me to Connect -VE first, then connect +ve cable. Start the strong car & leave it about >2min to the car to charging. Then try start, From sound can see weather enough charging or not.

2) Battery always weak maybe related to your alternator, Wiring. Better check before replace battery la kawan..

Regards

Bro,connect positve 1stla..then negative..rev engine to 2k rpm to make ur altenator charge ur friend's flat battery and ur battery too..normal idle, just 13.0V,but when u rev it go till 14.5V..more faster..btw,in parralel circuit..same voltage for ur battery and ur friend's battery..

great bro...
but not rev kao kao, coz when revving over the max voltage output, then ur car needs more power, there goes the voltage will drop from 3000rpm- 14v to rpm5500- 13.5v just the example...

jump start vr hard one meh??

i think very easy. but sometime ppl can help to jump start and cause the wire burn.

yesterday i ask my friend, he told me in workshop, someone try to jump start the lorry.
because lorry current very high, the problem other lorry is not battery problem, but one of them depress to RPM to long, cause Fire to wire then battery cause fire too..
it make me laugh.

most important is the cable connection mar.... positive-positive... negative-negative... jz like how u connect 2 batteries in parallel....

use a higher amp cable e.g 400amp or higher. easier to jump start.
if using 200amp which usually sold in accessories shop, it usually need to ram a bit on the giving side.....then the receiving side only can start up...usually it will make the cable very hot and sometimes spoilt it.

agreed..use a bigger size cable..I'm using a 600amp now and so far no prob to help friends jump start any battery capacities..

u can get it at most of the hardware/car accessories shops..if u use a low amp cable u'll endup spoiling it..and unable to help ur friend too..

lol...normally i jump start i just push the car den release clutch to jump start it...for manual car only la of coz...

reverse gear lo...but if car facing downwards den 2nd gear lo...its much easier on slopes, dun have to push :)

how ahh, nothing can be done lo...wait till the front or back car move...but sumtimes cable oso not long enuf ma if the battery is on the other side...
