Help Needed for Stripped Oil Pan Thread

Hi my oil pan threads are stripped. Only found out on Sat when the mechanic is changing oil for me. He realise the but cannot be fully tightened. Thus he say the threads are most like gone. He said will have to change oil pan.... wtf....

IS there any fix to this other than changing the oil pan?

How about rethreading the pan and use a bigger nut? Is it possible?

but at least still can tighten but not fully rite? try using spring washers.....
apply gum gasket as well.

you can always rethread the thread...

sometimes you can clean the thread using the tool kit. Sometimes there are oil sludge in between that causes it to "feel" as though you cannot tighten the bolts
