Help Needed....blacktop Auto

Dear Sifuu.....

I just converted my EE100 to blacktop auto from wagon, I've also installed the fuel tank and upgrade the fuel line to bigger size (8mm copper line)

The problem is, when I steer left and accelerate, the engine will jerking like not enough fuel and sometime engine die...(luckily can be start again)....the engine will be ok back if I steer back to strait.....this don't happen when I steer right....I've refer to my pomen and they said it could be the dirt in the fuel tank/fuel filter or something to do with power steering......what is the problem? Anybody had experienced this before?

Appreciate if sifus can help me on this,.....

If u using internal fuel pump shoudn't hv this problem. Btw what fuel thank and fuel pump u using, maybe not enough pressure. Why 8mm hose and not 7mm hose?

hehehehe,...i think anybody use external fuel pump will kena this prob,...so better change internal fuel pump,...tq

My fuel tank comes with the half cut and off cause with internal pump, I've changed to 8mm fuel line bcoz last time I used 2e engine (1.3 carb) with 7mm fuel line, the old fuel line is not sufficient to supply to 4AGE 20v, that why I've changed to 8mm. Its only happen when I steer left that what really confuse me....is it the oil seal in power stereng rack...????....pls help

I hv the same problem also but i'm using bosch external fuel pump. Not sure about urs. I'm sure not the power stering. Try to clean the fuel tank and check the fuel pump. I think ur fuel pump has been modify otherwise shouldn't hv this problem.

Brother normally is the fuel system I think better change fuel filter 1st coz it's cheaper mar.... And may I ask about your half cut is ae101 wagon??? and where is the bump now..... Just looking for the bumper soli

My tank has been cleaned by pressurized air before install, actually..my mech also think that it might be the fuel filter but, why it happen only when I steer left.....I'm going to change the fuel filter and see whether it can solve or not

Hi John,

Forgot edy la 111/101, but it fit nicely....maybe 101. I changed to 8mm coz the original was 7mm....u still can use 7mm but the fuel pressure will be higher....I refered to one of EFN posting....original 4AFE is using 8mm, so I guess it make sense to change to 8mm coz 2E used carb while 4A used EFI...

I've not install the fuel pressure gauge to see what is my fuel pressure but my fc is around 350-300km per RM50 (13-11km/L)...is it ok?
