have u guys ever collected / see a tender form, normally by government agencies la...??

right at the end of the tender form, there's a clause stating...

".........we have no obligation whatsoever to accept the lowest or any
tender......"

Then, why the f$#k they came out with a tender advertisement for?

every document have to purchase...RM30, RM50 and sometimes even RM100!
have to go to post office, make money/postal order....

and with all the requirements...all the certificates, must certified true copy, bank statement, and sometimes they even ask for certs of your employees...

what the f@#k?????

means that even if we quoted the owest price oso, cannot get...then what for???

they dare to write that clause...its like we are so stupid...right in front of us they do this...

better just call their relatives/cronies and award the job to them...no point wasting people's time, money, effort...tiring woo..run here and there like mad...but they actually have someone for the job already.........f#@k!!!!

malaysia boleh...crap!!!!

your lowest submission may get picked up by the company that was "awarded".

Usually you may get the call/offer (if indeed yours is lowest, or in thereabouts) .

heard of this many times lor.

come on la dude... its a true fact wot. Sometimes its not just the price factor to decide things.

soemtimes a couple of vendors submitted their proposal and quotation... i dont always opt for the cheapest.. itz the package they offer that matters.. ;-)

cannot get tender means dont make big fuss la......other people doing it for years la no complain also.....malaysia boleh ma.......everything can be settle with money la...my bos use to bid the highest and still get the job la......its all about kowtim.....if u cant kowtim dont buy the forms in the first palce..waste your money only better to keep your rm30 in fixed deposit and get 3.5%interest per annum......as u know in malaysia contracts are given only to the well connected person not some dude from the street who just registered a company......so if no c0nnection your line will always be engaged...ok.....

yalor...if tender cheapest then can get contract, my company dun need to spend so much on "entertainment" fees for the client already...

It's all about connections. True fact in life. You know the right people, then you get the right opportunity. Of course, you'd at least appreciate it if they choose capable people. The problem arises when they choose nincompoops that they have good ties with, with utter disregard for the wellfare of the stakeholders (in this case the tax payers) or the project.

I got to agree with the rest of the guys here. Lowest doesn't always mean the best. What if the tender is lowest but the goods quality also lowest, do you think the government agency is that stupid to accept the goods. Lets put it in even terms. Assuming all the tender are offering the exact same goods but slightly different price. Obviously the tender committee will look at the delivery status and payment terms. For sure they will select the one with best delivery and also longer payment terms. They might also consider the service provided.

If one day you decide to transplant a more powerful engine into your car. Workshop A offers the lowest price, need 3 months to complete and must pay up front 50%. And workshop B offer slightly higher price, need only 1 1/2 months to complete and pay upon complete satisfaction of transplant. For sure you will think about it and decide which is the best option right.

You'd wish the G makes such good judgement all the time. I'm sure those affected by the closure of the MRR2 would agree, at the very least.

no need to tender la.... waste of time only... tender is for entertainment purposes and made dog out of those ppl with no conection.. :) but not all tender la(only0.01%)...

ya...true oso...cheapest doesnt mean the best...

but...

the specs are all given by them.

strictly branded items only.

tis time they even asked for certs from my technical staff, to make sure they are qualified

they will accept other suggestions, but only if we offer higher / better specs than required.

so, i guess what they want, quality wise is stated and surely QUALITY is not the question here....

and the certs from the tech staff - to assure we can provide QUALITY after sales service...

bank statement, banking facilities and even bank's report on company's performance - the gauge the QUALITY of our financial...

previous experience record and certificate from previous clients, to assure u HAVE actually provided someone else with QUALITY products / services...

conformation letter from manufacturer that u are genuine dealer of the proposed brand and u are not bluffing about providing the QUALITY branded items..

so....reading the form sekali lalu oso u know what QUALITY they are looking for... and if u plan to quote anything lower than that...just forget it, man...

if quality standard is already stated, very clearly, then what else will determine the success?

.........DAMN RITE...!!!!....HOW MUCH U KOWTEAM!!!!....WHO'S YOUR CONTACT....!!
...1ST CLASS ENTERTAINMENT!!!.....HEHEEHHEH...F@#K EM!!!!
................F@#K 'EM ALL!!!!!!
MAMPUS DALAM NERAKA WITH ALL THAT RASUAH MONEY!!!!

fuuhhh....relief....

maybe for u guys / your bosses that have a lot of "capital" to spend and have no religious limit on how to get something...its alrite, yet its easier...just pay and u'll surely get it.

not to say i'm an ustaz or wat.....but this thing has gone for too long. imagine the time people spent, all the reports to prepare, site visits to attend (if u dont attend , u are automatically disqualified..), fotostat money, binding money....

sigh........malaysia memang serba boleh laa...

ok la.. alittle of tip.. no doubt sometimes tendering is just for show... and sometimes there are like some backdoor options..

but seroiusly.. even in real tender.. lowest price doesn't guarantee u the project.

all the project they got their estimation rate, and they will choose from the range around their estimation, that's why the set that clause. i totally agree with this clause. have see many other project given to lowest, finally the contractor can finish the project.

i most doing in Felda project. the previous year cost Rm200 per tender, this year started Rm300 per tender some even up to RM500 per tender, but what to do, have to buy it also. ...:)
