how much does it cost for a b16a engine or b18c...i mean halfcuts...
i need to know coz im looking for one and usually this kedai potong will potong ur kepala if u dont really know....some of u guys who already bought ur engine can advise me on this matter....the price u guys bought the engine and where is it...thanx...:embaressed_smile:

is it worth to get a B16A from a EG?? think it's too old. and let's take out the price tag issue as B16 from EG is cheaper....was thinking if getting a B16A from EG...the mileage will be around 150K plus?? correct me if i'm wrong.

i think it still worth to get... sumore easy to play with ecu....

ECU from B16A (EG) is different from B16A (EK) right...and i've heard ppl say EG one is better. can anyone clarify this?

he..he...EG n EK efinitely running with different ECU ...EG OBD1, EK OBD2...go for EG n rebuild ur engine if the milage is more than 100K kms....its worth it..trust me...

There was a once I went to Puchong looking for some parts, at a kedai potong. And I saw many V-tec engines occupied on the ground, and some are like halfcut they put them under the sun. So if when we want to get which one's better???

mun lee only good for cosmetic parts...engine wise search elsewhere la.

For OB2 there is a specially made harness to convert to OBD1 however the harness is sold in the US, haven't seen a local made one yet though. Cheaper ones (home made) costs about USD70....the factory manufactured ones will set your pocket deeper by USD150.

My friend is using a eg9 with the b16a, he plan to change the engine..either install back b16a engine kosong or change to b16b..

May I know the wiring for b16a and b16b is it the same? I remember there is thread discuss bout this..too lazy to find..haha :_:

if u just about to plugin the engine kosong only, u can use back the original b16a wiring (EG/EK)... unless if u want to use the b16b ecu, vtec solenoid, distributor, intake manifold then its recomended to change the wiring...
