hello sifu2 out there..i need soome help..kinda silly actually but,well here goes..i want to change my kancil(new model one) engine to a kelisa engine..i heard that it is actually a good choice but i need to be sure.also i need to find out where i can find a kelisa auto engine and how much it would cost..thank you thank you!!
 
The easiest is find a good second-hand from the kelisa owner that converted to L2, LL, L9 or I dunno ... may be GTTI.
 
Some consideration:

1. Approval from JPJ
2. Some modification to fit kelisa gear box and ur chasis need some knock to fit the engine.

thnx for the reply bro, but the jpj will cost me how much 'Kopi o' ? i have tried looking for people who are modding their kelisa's but there just seems to be no one..most of my friends either use old school cars or super cars..local cars like 'x penah dgr' to them hahaha..but they still help me out..but in ur opinion, is it a good mod?
 
The runner coz u 400-600. it depends where you stay, many kelisa and kancil modder around... go for kcar site. but i think is hard 2 find kelisa engine compare to Mira.

A mousedeer with a fish muscle will be a decent good car, in NA category. I am not touching the racing part.

...and I know some will tell you a L2 will some a kelisa, it's true.
 
i know that its hard to get (kelisa engine) but u know, trying sumthin new..plus, i want an engine that can give me suffiecient power, not to go blasting in the sky..i think that i can get the runner easily, but i still have aproblem with the engine..i think that with a kelisa engine, i can get better performance for city use..also if maybe i want to bolt on turbo, itll be stronger rite coz its 1.0?
 
I would say you well need to spend extra a few k for the bolt-on and may be (unfortunately) a few k to custom some part for the turbo setting and tuning (if u can get the modification all'cun' in one or two times).

Then you better get a Charade Espri with a GTTI engine, wrong time wrong day u will smoke the Wira EVO.
 
if kelisa cant, kenari oso can... same engine~ 850cc DOHC oso got good accelaration and FC~ my fren changed his to 850cc DOHC, is a fuel inject engine... but not as fast as 1000cc~
 
cool idea nieto but i think that kenari mods are even harder to find coz as far as iknowlah, kenari are for audio pimping..but i have come across those with powerful engine..but those were in mags..about the charade,well thnx for the suggestion but its just a bout being loyal to your car..coz i wanna do my kancil even if it means a few k..but nevertheless ill take it one step at a time..making sure that i can evaluate all aspects before making the choice or purchase, plus i know a guy who can do really good mod for my car..but he seems to be on holiday though(damn) but thnx anyway minikar for ur response..truly appreciate it though..

im not sure KL can easily find kelisa engine or not... if at my place here, a lotsa halfcut engine selling, especialy 1J and 2J (2.5 and 3.0 supra engine)

oso got sell 1.0 dohc daihatsu engine (same as kelisa, but frm japan)
 
to me seriously,if u fit a 1litre engine in there..its gonna be quite heavy.better just stick with the 660 L2.if u want an NA engine there's the L5 series u can choose frm.

nieto : no.there's no 1litre or the kelisa's counterpart. the highest is daihatsu gino which is 850cc.
 
really heavy ah kelisa..? i heard that theres a 1.0 daihatsu for kelisa, then can fit into my kancil ah? i dunt wanna get a mira because that they have built in turbo inside..i want to be able to use thecar for city use for the meanwhile, no offence to you guys out there, but oil price will hike, hehe so you get my drift huh...buut anyways..thx soo much for your guys good response..appreciate it so much!!
 
I know my L2 wif the air scoop standard tuned, FC is almost a NA kancil... normal driving and normal boost.
 
the L2 660T is not that bad u know. but if u are still concern about the oil price..u can get an NA version.

u still win compared to getting the 1litre engine.
 
i dun think l2 turbo are quite harsh on fc...
its almost as good if not better
sumore there's horsies when u need it

fc is control by ur right leg, if ur right leg heavy,
fc will still sky rocket
if u scared den dun boost, but it defeat the purpose of getting it at first right
 
so with the L2 660t, it will be better and lighter compared to the kelisa engine huh? ikts still N/A and yet still better than kelisa. then if i want to put turbo, i can just botl on..how much is it N/A? but is there L500 but no turbo? got difference ah? how bout comparing to kelisa with bolt on? sorry ah, alot of question but very interested..cannot help it..haha
 
razr_sped, so what ur trying to say is that L2 is not that high fc ah?oohh..but how fast can it go ah? just asking...
 
A standard L2 turbo around 160km/h and smoke the fish and the bird, and also smoke Satria GTI from traffic light to trafic light.... hehehe

i_Ce, please la .... the Japanese as least spend 10 engineers and so many years to design+build the L200 turbo engine, u pulak want to bolt on turbo on a L200 N/A.

i'm still amazed by the tech used 10years ago in L200 compare to what proton did today..good fc if stock.

err..i think so hard lah nowaday to approve 1000cc engine in kancil..nak turun from 850 to 660 oso cost me rm700..runner lah..puspakom lah..jpj lah..
