Engine Leak...

just buy my first honda (EK) last two weeks . when i brought it to
mechanic and check got some leak at the bottom of the engine.
after properly check the mechanic show me there some leak at the mounting back of the engine...... the mechanic told me to get another engine at the chop shop......
is it possible just to change the block ?
all sifu pls help......

if like that sure a lot of vtec engine outside there need to be changed... hehe
try to find out where the leaking from first.. ask fr few mech to get problem verification. if all mech said u need to change the engine, then u shud.

yeah ur right.... today i ask another mech. he said he can glue (2 tons glue) my engine. i wonder this is the correct way ?. the leak is from connecttion mounting to engine at the back of the block.

huh ?? first of all.....what is leaking ? engine oil ? petrol ? others ??? U're not even sure what type of engine u r having...and summore u mentioned u just bought the car. Remember dude........an engine is the heart of any car....and the ECU is the brain..........if u dunno your heart, then there's sumthing wrong somewhere...

Hmmm.....

Before getting another engine....I think you'd better get another mechanic. There's a thread somewhere in the Honda section on reputable workshops for Honda. Search the nearest to your viccinity.

sohc is not b-series, its d-series.

better get eg hafkat like that. 5-5.5K + 1K = 6.5K...
add another 500 for more option in future...
can get lsd one if got luck.
