AFM or MAP? ~ i think ur gze using AFM, rite?
try this method, turn ON the key first, wait for 4/5 sec then after that start the engine. but, the sudden you speeding/tarikkk, i'm not sure la the light will come up or not..

try borrow ur friends a/flow controller, can use either AFM gze or AFM 20v and see what happen to the light.

maybe yes or maybe not :))

bro, mine is MAP, after i restart the engine there was no light

If your speed signal is absence to the ECU, you may get this few seconds check light at running. But this could be due to other problem. Best way is check your error code that store in the ECU.

well i have not conected my speedometer yet cause yhe engine uses speed censor but my car is cabel. gonna do it soon. to check error code got to take to umw toyota?

Turn on the IG key at working temp and with all load switch off , jump TE1 and E1 at Diagnostic connector with a wire jumper.
Monitor the flashing pattern of the "check light".

If you don't know how to do above, do not try.
Send your car to the work shop that have hand held testor and they will be able to retrieve the Error Code from your ECU.

will it be a problem if i dont do it imideately? cause im goin to my workshop in 2 weeks time though to do it then. the car seems fine so... i dont know

I am not sure what error code you have, but if it is due to disconnection of speed signal then it should be fine.
If you have the problem fixed, your car can run much better than current.

mee too have this problem..but slightly different...engine check light will pop up when tachometer (speedo meter) reach 120....then it wont go away... it will stay untill i stop the engine and start it back...again when i accelerate to 120 the light start poping up again..gosh...wtf...btw im using SVT

bros,
anybody have the error code listing for 4AFE. only manage to find the codes for 4AGE... is it the same???

rgds.

If you disconnected the battery for 30 sec you will erase the error codes from the ECU. In that case you will have to drive your car around and wait till the next check engine light ON to retrieve the codes.

When you jump TE1 and E1 (Ignition Switch at ON position, do not start the engine), your check engine light should flash at constant timing if you don't have any error codes. The flash will be interrupted for 2.5s if there is a code store in the ECU.

Come join the next TT in USJ Syed Arif and i can help you retrieve the codes.

I am not sure for the error code listing for 4AFE. But i think it should be same as 4AGE. Different code for different engine will only mess up the engineer's job.

bro, hmm the gze engine has been fitted to my scoupe so my dashbord is scoupe one. im not sure if the check light can blink. even before i start the car, most cars the light will come on then go off but mine will remain on till i start. btw when u guys meeting up at usj?

There is nothing wrong on the check light to be ON till you start your GZE.
Next TT i am not sure. Perhaps this Friday. Stay tune ah.
