hi all honda sifus

i am thinking of converting a EJ in to a H22A Vtec engine on it. what do you all think about it ? do you think it is reliable in it ?

what is the common problem for this engine after conversion?
JPJ can get approval ....

Problem? The only problem I see here is that you cannot SLOW. Hahahaha

Well since it is stock from H22A of cause it will be reliable unless the workshop poor workmanship that cause the car to have problem. Other then that I dont see any problem in it.

Registration should be able to be done la..

mouting...........just go to online shopping buy the mouting!u r no need to cut ur body mouting to fit the engine!

the problem is parts...
its harder to find parts if u compare wit those b series engine.....
and ther is hardly any second hand stuff for u to choose..

Jun-H22A is right.......................
but if u looking for racing camshaft!can look for me........i can help to get for u!
hehehehe

thanks for ur reply all sifus

well, to be frank i think converting b series engine is expensive, thats whhy i am thinking of converting to H22A, cheaper mah ....

well, i not a racer lah , just dun like being fool by those turbo cars around town, cucuk here and there ....

i heard that this engine is really powerful, is it true , can cope with Evo's ?

another thing i heard from some mechs that they say the driveshaft of civic will spoilt mre frequently with the 2.2 engine ?

any opinion? plz post ... thanks all

so how everyone, ????

should i use H22a or not ?

do you all know anyone dricing civic using this engine?

if got let me know leh .... really serious on it

errmmmm.....technically i will support H22A oso! but make sure u don't regret after installing it....its very hard to find a part for it....
as in for b series engine....
although its a bit expensive...
but it got more choice on buying the parts.....
and 1 more thing... if u like to rev high i think b series is more suitable ...
cuz h22a u cant  really rev high .....
 jus my 2 cent

ohh... so are u using H22A on civic as well..... how was it ?

did u regret converting it ?

well, u mean parts as in spare parts or performance parts ?

rev high ;) how high is high then?

7k rev or 8k rev

the engine compartment will be very tight and changing the timing-belt will be a head-ache. That's what I heard. ;)

Jun-H22A is accord with H22A

but i thought put H22A in Ek need 2 do some mod in the front part...
just according to a magazine..
not sure

Hmm.... I think H22A is not that big actually. That's from my personal view lar. :)

i've been in a 4-door civic with H22A...damn cool...torque overdose....can feel it every gear change....but i heard to change timing belt need to drop engine, but that's ok what?...it's not like u change timing belt every month!...but to install the engine need to mod the mounting and front suspension...engine is heavy...make sure go to very good mechanics....
