I don't know whether any of you had this problem before. I have this stupid clock display problem where it show up during the car just start up and after driving a while it will keep blinking and blinking. After that gone, then a while it comes out blinking again and agian.

I got fed up, give it a knock and it gone. I checked all fuse and relay which is intact. Any of you exprience this. Right now I actually use Glade car purfume to cover that stupid clock so not seeing it will give less stress to me

BS,
You mean previously have the same problem and syntom line mine? how much to change one? I haven't change mine due to the fact that the deskboard has to take out just to change one clock unit. sad man....

there are few threads in old msn forum discuss about this digital clock issue. Many owner change it, and Mr.Tiburon even know how to change it DIY if I'm not mistaken.

mine is done without removing the dash, because the stupid fella "Kiu" the clock out, you can see the very clear "Kiu" mark on the clock face.

Nope, I don't have such problem.

wah..then that fella must be expert in "kiu" technic.

So..now I'm back to square one. Do you still have any of the tread (MSN)? I need to make sure it is just the clock itself not by means of any wiring problem. Caused I'm phobia of elec wiring problem already.

the worst thing about the msn free forum is lack of search function. sorry, i can't find the thread about the clock.

Ace, don't be too frustrated.
Don't hammer your Coupe.
Don't be a Coupe abuser. :)

I heard from one of my cousin's friend that his uncle drive his coupe like mad cow when going down hill and caused the Coupe to turned turtle.
After the incident, the clock's condition was just like what Ace's problem.
I thought the clock only spoil when Coupe face a major accident.
Never know that it's a sickness to all Coupes.
My Coupe don't have such problem with the clock.

BS, don't allow your GF to approach the fella who "kiu" the clock in your Coupe.
Don't risk your GF being "kiu" by the fella. :)

some thing wrong some where, BS, are u sure u see the fella kiu ur clock? & can come out through the hole?
Do not kiu ur clock, b'coz the clock is biger than the hole, some more there is 2 screw at the back, how ever also the clock will not come out through the hole. Ace, u must take out the front deskboard in order to take out the clock.
If u r in good luck, the conecting point (solder) is lose, juts solder it back will do, if bad luck, it must be inside the clock, hard to find where, but normally is the solder part.

Yu, thats why I was supprise that BS can kiu his clock. I knew the whole desktop board need to take out and thats is the big headache. Even if it is just wire need to be solder I don't think wanna risk take out the whole deskboard. Remember the air con heater problem when discuss in MSN? I also don't want to fix that because of the whole deskboard thing.

Daniel,
The way you describe your uncle is scary man..sound like rally driver to me.

Hahahaha...
Ace,
That's my friend's uncle.
Coupe torturer.
Now his Coupe rosak-rosak already.
Sigh...

Ace, no need to take out the whole deskboard, just the front only like below pic.
yayaya, so ur air-con heater is dry now?

Ace, maybe this time around you need to fix 2 times by removing the dash at once.

Yu, you need to teach me how to draw the curvy thing.

Yu,
It is still scary man..I already had a tiny line crack at the above the meter cluster screw area, would not want to make it worst when take it out. Unless real necessary. But your pics really help man, initially I thought is the whole front. thanks.

My heater is dry now. I disconnect the pipe into it by putting a stopper from NISSAN parts. So now my air con is super cold all the time.

Wow, Ace, your Coupe is having dashboard cracky problem also ah?

BS, you can use autocad to draw the curvy line. hahaha....

BS, I'm using CorelDraw X3 for drawing the line
Ace, my clock also doing disco all the time but most of the time is no light, hahaha, last time I open it up for repair but can't find my solder, after buy a new solder, open it up again but my heater for solder is out of order, till now alo haven repair yet, still don't know can repair or not, the clock display got some black thing, like burn.
With out the heater, is it too cool at night? all the glass also can't see liau...

Daniel,
I used to have perfect desktop. Its the stupid previous worker of the workshop that cause the tiny line crack when open up the desk cluster to inspect the wire (because at that time doesn't know its the relay problem). But he got fired anyway after I complaint to my friend who is the boss.

Yu,
At night usually I run low on the air. If it is still too cold I can just turn off the compressor by pressing the A/C button mah. The glass only foggy when it is raining. Usually its not a problem. My clock light is just like you mentioned loh. Dancing a while then gone. After a while dancing again. Most of the time is blacken out.

oh ace, it hurt.

i usually need to turn to hotter air at night, the aircon is just too cool.
i dunno how ace survive

BS,
What to do. But its okay even during night. I like it cold. hehe

Ace,
your friend did the right thing.
If your friend still leave the worker at his place, I guess you're not going back to his workshop anymore. :)
My dashboard also got tiny cracks due to sunlight and afternoon heat. :(
Still can't find solution to repair the cracks.

Me too. I need to adjust the temperature to higher degree because my aircond damn cold at night after I spend lots of money to change to a new original compressor. Hahaha...
