how much does it cost to modified B20B?
wat do we need to change?
where should i modified, other than all those N1 n amoil. i noe tis places r very expensive...any workshop suggestion?

i noe..my budget is around 5k..but i hope tht is enuf for all the cost..
 
Advice:

Go with this set up:

Head: b16a (RMsize]
Cams: B16B (RM1.2k)
Cam Pulley: Std
Valve Springs: B16B/B18C ITR (about rm500++)
Intake Manifold: Type R (RM1.6K)
Exhaust Manifold: 4-1 replica (size]
Block with std pistons: RM2 to 2.5k
Block with 84.5mm forged pistons: RM4 to 4.5k
Gear Box: use b16a (size]
USE B16B AT 4.4OO FINAL (RM3.6K ++)
use b18c ITR at 4.875 final (RM4.2K ++)

So total: RM9K (a discount of about 15% on all items has been taken into consideration)

Note: The compressio is low so a bit of mod must be done to boost up the comp ratio and that has not been taken into consideration...

probably the above setup would give u around 175 to 185whp, but the tork would be high bcos its 2.0L..correct me if i'm wrong..
 
yep... jun_ek9 running 1.8 now and already 220hp on wheel

IMHO, H22A injector is recommended along with VAFC. If i'm not mistaken, there's B20 high compression piston (85mm,again if i'm not mistaken, its a TODA piston...well, at least its written there in the AMOIL webpage, not sure whether its really TODA's ) selling at Amoil.
Porting, balancing,boring, bearings...all wouldn't be cheap...your 5k is definitely not enough for all this...

For starters no need TODA or JE forged pistons...you can increase the comp of your B20B block in a lot of ways..but again, you want reliability, it comes with a price...block b20b with 85mm JE piston is being sold at N1 for about 4.5k...you can check with desmond...with TODA, more expensive...my mechanic uses a 1.8L block with 85mm TODA piston...plus the bore charges close to RM8K...

i suggest co with the basics and ask your foreman to increase the comp to 12.1 (if you want)...play around with it and if you are not satisfied then go for forged...again...putting in the piston is not as simple as plug and play...it is a complete overhaul and engine balancing is a must...so again, do you want to go through it again or just one time terus kari taruk semua...your call....for me, stick with the OEM (more reliable) and buy Haltech or ApexI FC...they can tune your car up to 20% increase for NA....so with the recommended set up you can get about 205- 210whp...take that against a 20% decrease to the crank you get...250hp...BUT your torque would be gilerrr.....
