can any body tell me da different between ek sgdm and JDM ek4 hafkat aar...which one is better maa...confius already to swap my engine...pls...tell me..also the price....i'm staying i kedah now..

ek sgdm no digital acond [same like local]. speedo meter until 220km/h
ek JDM got it. but, speedo onli 180km/h

both wit black color dasboad. price diff is abt rm1000!

ECU & performance, i think should be a same. stil P2T OBD2a code..

radiator/coolent system, maybe got diff a bit. coz, Japan mostly cold. S'pore same like our.. too hot wheather!

usualy sgdm is rm6500 & jdm is rm7500.. wit rm1k diff, then can use it for upgrde ECU or pay for pomen fee lah.. sav a bit!

japan not like malaysia...building proton uk spec better than local one...

eg6/9 hafkat, mostly rm6000! eg ECU easy to upgrde. just add chip.. for EK ECU, need to replace whole box!

if can get sgdm EK hafkat at cheaper price, better take it. EK, engine is new! mostly around '96-98 production year. eg '92-94 year!

last time, find FULLKAT '96 ek4 sgdm[m] rm8500 at kepong! sunruf, door, carpet, leather electric seat, ABS stereng.. all include. very pity, sgdm ek4 dun hav back screen wiper!

try search at sg petani! pro multi.. cheng kee.. jln kota lama, veerapan & subramaniam there! last month, got a fren buy jdm ek4 sir wit gps monitor at GT planet abt rm7800! fuhhh.. so xpensive!

in penang, i never found any EK hafkat yet! or, can look at ipoh, menglembu there..

The Japan GPS system in EK needs CD to work as far as I know.. I wonder if someone tried what happened if they put in the CD and tried out the GPS system..

What would it show? A dot in the sea? (since the map is probably limited to japan islands, I assume the rest of the area would be programmed as the sea.

Just curious.

ek hakfat normally around 6-6.5K for SGDM, 7-7.5K for JDM EK4, EG shud be around 5-6K.

Hey hattech-v, you sure SGDM is around 6-6.5? becoz what i found from one H/C shop selling at 7-7.2 la. Is it becoz is Kl market price? Btw, what about the price of eg H/C??? :_:

I got mine for 5.8K.. search around... there's bound to be vast difference in prices.

Almost bought mine in KL (so I could do porting and balancing at one go), but the after comparing prices, decided not to.

Bro, that's mean you bought ur eg h/c at 5.8 plus is it plus installation? And can this eg h/c fit into an ek ? Btw, Normally it will cost how much for installation ?:emoticon_U:
