Sorry, I meant I was using new engine oil. Total Quartz 7000. Loud tappeting noise from the engine. Not the transmission. Transmission smooth now but jerks a little at times.

You try using the engine oil and the ATF like what i'm using with the Transmission treatment. :rolleyes:

My gearbox is acting weird again. When I switch to OD, it shifts to 4th gear and then changes back to 3rd gear and never changes anymore. So when my car is stationary, it moves very slowly like a 5000kg car. What is wrong? What do I need to change? Any workshop that specializes in perdana gb?

i'm afraid that's the limp-home mode. the TCU detects the gbox have a problem and 'locked' the gbox to 3rd gear. this is so becoz with 3rd gear, u can only move slowly from standstill and also cannot go fast.

its either ur gbox needs overhaul or check the valvebody (solenoids there) or the TCU.
