AR80 & TD05

hello ppl
just wondering is Garrett AR80 smaller than TD05??

but from what i heard is the Air Ratio for Garrett AR80 is bigger than TD05 is it true??

most ppl tend to look at the size of the fins TD05 is bigger but how come the Air Ratio is small than Garrett AR80??

any sifu please help me out kind of confuse with TD05 with Garrett AR80

a/r 0.80 is juz a housing measurement...and not the real deciding factor to determine a turbo..

you need to give more specs about your gt turbo. its like saying X multiplied by 80 is bigger than 100... you only have part of the equation

i duno i kind of confuse my foreman told me the ar80 is smaller than td05 but bigger than td04 abit

but the seller's foreman told me the air ratio for ar80 is bigger than td05 and and td05 can't boost too high long term wise ar80 can tahan longer than td05

so kind of confuse scared got con by the seller

from what i can find, ar0.80 compressor housing belongs to Garrett T25 family. please correct me if i'm wrong, T25 is relatively small and it is about TD04 size.
please don't get confused. AR doesn't tell how big the housing is. For example, you can find AR0.60 in three different family (from what i know); T25, T3 and T04B.

td05 double fin flows more than any T25 turbine, if it is T25 laa..

dear fellows..

many times...alot of people relate A/R to...the bigger the better ! omg.. these mechanics think that a/r 80 (actually itz called 0.80) = bigger than td05... to them.. 8 is bigger than 5....

A/R is in no relation or even a fair comparison to TD05... both are in different leagues..
