hmmmm..... it looks pretty much a concept car to me... but judging from the round logo up front, a prototype elise car?

That is definitely the Lotus APX Concept that the boys from Lotus have been displaying in motorshows.

Here's a link: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/02/24/lotus-apx-concept-unveiled/

If Proton is going to build that, good for them.

where is the car?

maybe GTI neo concept? :P

with evo6 engine n AWD... :P

That is the Lotus APX, a MPV concept with aluminum chassis.

Been away from civilisation lately eh?

That car came out on the front cover of several national papers on the 26th of May as it was Proton's star @ KL Inter. MotorShow.

Alex, It's an SUV Concept, not MPV :-) . Along the lines of Forrester & AirTrek

It showcases Lotus's Aluminium Chassis versatility.

Well, it'd be good if Proton produced a versatile powertrain similar to what Subaru and Mitsu are doing to their EJ-20 and 4G63T blocks. This can be shared with say, a Neo GTi/R3 albeit with higher powerband on the latter.

I bet RM1000 that boot lit will never go into production. IMO, this car sucks big time.... since when Lotus starts building MPVs? it's kinda lame.... imagine Rolls Royce coming out with a City Car..... with 2 doors and 2 seats..... bleh ~

proton owns lotus, when lotus built such car..we can say its built by proton.

u think proton will suka-suka gives green light to do prototypes kaa??

a lot of money is needed for even one unit.

Mate, you got that wrong. Lotus built this to demonstrate Lotus' Versatile Vehicle Architecture (VVA), which their future models will be built upon. Why a crossover vehicle (these kind of vehicles are classified as crossovers not MPVs)? Well according to Lotus' claims, their VVA can be used to build almost any type of car, be it a lightweight Lotus sportscar to this APX Concept (Aluminium Performance Crossover).

So this attempt is far from lame, because like all concepts, it is to show the company's capabilities.

They've also designed and developed the supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine which is under the bonnet of the APX which has a claimed output of 300bhp.

now no more on board camera lor... ppl use sensor..... got car den beep....
