AE111 Suspension

Hi,

I feel that the AE111 suspension is just too soft.

Can you guys recommend, to which suspension should I get?

I got some advice to get a second hand suspension set made in japan. There are 2 versions. Sports and normal. Are the sports version very stiff?

Sorry guys, taking this opportunity to ask how's the feel of having adjustable absorber coz i also considering to install it for my car. Will you guys feel very bumpy when driving on rough surface? Any brand recommended and how long can it lasts?

last few month i install GAB absorber...made in malaysia cost around 1.2K-absorber + sport spring (replacement from standard toyota aw111) install cost around RM 80.. + cost for aligment & balancing.. so total kena ada dalam 1500.00 la...

if want batter absorber go to trd..titan..or whatsoever la...just have a money anything can bro..

I heard made in malaysia suspension not so good...have to get the made in japan types.

How is the ride? Stiff?

Hi nappx, just a quick check with you. After you install GAB + Sport Spring, what is the gap between your tyre and tyre fender? Can you fit in three fingers between the gap?

wat do u mean by complete suspension?? absorber and spring is it??

if you guys go for sport suspension, i'll advise you to think twice, because ae111 suspension is straight down unlike other mades. U'll feel alot of bumps because it absorbs alot of impact due to the nature of the car. Of course, this will also differ according to your tyre profile.

Current ride: 97 AE111 with Titan adj suspension, tyre 205/45 R16

Blurblur, can I also comment that the chasis is also too light, and contributes to the bumpiness?

I plan to run the sports suspension on original steel rims for the mean time, until I can find a suitable 14inch alloy rims. The original rims are just too heavy...

yup, one of the factor is the chasis is light too.. but the main factor that causes it is the way the suspension is aligned to the chasis.

14/15" should be good for the car.. can also opt for higher profile to reduce the bumpiness..
