How about the ST203 celica 3S-GE "BEAM"/red top manual halfcut?

Are they readily available?

Last but not least, who stocks Toda Racing camshafts for the 3S-GE in KL?

Sorry, my mistake. The 3S-GE red top "BEAMS" are fitted to celicas(ST202) from december 1997 onwards.

The ST203s are 4WS versions.

They're pretty hard to get nowadays huh..even the 180ps versions.

ST202 180hp quite a lot in KL chop shop , I bought mine last year december ,
RM1500 for the half cut , that time I got 3~4 unit for me to choose . Try look
around Kepong or Selayang chop shop .

RM1,500.00 is damn cheap. Is that for a manual transmission?

If it's RM5k, I might as well stick to the current ST-182 3S-GE that I have as the internals will be changed anyway so the cash is better spent elsewhere(ie Cams, shimless buckets, etc.)

Out of topic, you have any clue to any changes to the oil pump from the ST-182 to the ST202 engines?

Intend to rev it to 9k rpm or more.

I can say it'd be a tight fit when compared to a Toyota Corona, which is already considered tight.

Ask any mechanic on how to replace the timing belt without removing the engine(ie 3SGE on an AE101) and see their response.

use the COVER lorr ... but take it out myself everytime need to change plugs laa .. hahaahahahaa ... but dont change plugs often oso maaa ... so not too much of a bif deal laa .. hahahaaha

The millege is about 98k on the half cut I bought . It's not tight at all if fit to
a corona , I can say some more very spacious can put a cow inside some more .

If you put 3S-GTE , then it's very tight .

you will kena tiu if the engine is 3SGTE wiht water cool intercooler !! When
remove the intercooler , whole engine full of water or worst , coolant !! :confused_smile:

ya... last time i change my spark plug also kena tiu!!! damn take time to remove n install the water cool intercooler...
